Method and device for weaving with two warp thread systems It is known to weave with two warp thread systems which run at an angle to the edge of the goods and are each guided in a row of perforated needles, so that there is always an open compartment next to that by moving the two towards each other Hole needle rows a second, closed compartment is formed and in which a double weft in the form of a weft loop is inserted into the closed compartment by means of a thread guide and a simple weft thread is inserted into the open compartment by a further thread guide, the weft loop and the individual weft thread each for is posted and the goods are switched over after each posting. The weft loop is inserted into the closed compartment alternately from the right and left, while the rear weft thread is inserted after the closed compartment has been dissolved and at the same point where the weft loop is inserted. Two thread guides are used to insert the weft loop into the closed compartment, one of which is on the right and the other on the left of the goods in the rest position. Each .these gunner moves into the closed compartment and back again when he is actuated. The thread guide used to insert the single weft thread, however, only simply moves through the open compartment when it is actuated; it is therefore positioned once to the right and once to the left of the goods. The various weft guides are operated in such a way that the weft loop is entered into the closed compartment from the side from which the subsequent simple weft is entered into the open compartment. The weft threads are here by the warp threads on the edge. the goods are not tied, but on one edge of the goods there is compensation for the single shot by the subsequent weft loop. Due to the nature of the succession of the movements of the thread guides, at least one mutual jamming of the head part of a weft loop with the thread path existing between two successive single wefts takes place on the other weft edge. There is a special bobbin for each thread guide. As a result, the weft material floats on both sides of the goods.
dig"
Binde evtl. verschoben, wenn nicht gar a`
gerissen werden kann. _.
These partially overlapping floating parts of the weft material are relatively strong, so that the edges of the goods turn out to be quite thick. The appearance of the edges is also very irregular and looks unattractive. After all, those thick edges are pretty tough too. For this reason, bandages made in this way are not very suitable for bandaging purposes because the thick and hard edges cut into the meat. If such bandages are used for bandage purposes, the floating parts of the weft material are also disadvantageous in this respect. that the floating parts of the bandages get caught in buttons and hooks of the garment of the person wearing the bandage, whereby dig " Bandage possibly shifted, if not a`
can be torn. _.
In contrast, will now erfindungsgen
the thread for the single weft and cl Schußschli.ngen are taken from a common bobbin, and the weft loops are drawn into the closed compartment by pushing in or pulling in the thread part stretched from the edge of the goods to the thread guide on the right or left of the goods. B. formed by means of a bumper or a gripper. _ With this process, parts of the weft material do not have to float. The edges of the fabric are therefore not thick and hard, but have the same strength as the middle part of the fabric and are elastic, as required from bandages. The edges of the goods produced in this way show a regular appearance. The binding of the weft threads or school loops themselves is also significantly more advantageous than known methods. Finally, by the method according to the invention because of the elimination of floating parts of the. Weft material also requires significantly less yarn. The use of only one bobbin instead of three bobbins greatly simplifies the construction of the loom. There are also fewer standstills due to weft thread breakage.
The bumpers or grippers for pushing in or pulling in the
Weft materials in the closed compartment in the form of a weft loop are advantageous

or thread inserts is known per se. When using bumpers looks

In the drawing, an apparatus for carrying out the method according to the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment. FIG. 1 shows a plan view, FIG. 2 shows a side view, viewed in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 1 during the insertion of the single shot; and Fig. 3 is a side view of Fig. i, seen in the direction of arrow A when a weft loop is being pushed in. The two warp thread systems are designated by i and 2. The warp threads i are. guided in a row of perforated needles 3 and the chain threads 2 in a row of perforated needles 4. from two warp thread systems i and 2
ik one at an angle to the other
guided. When the two rows of needles 3 and 4 are pulled apart, there is consequently an open compartment that extends to the edge of the goods, as can be seen in Fig. 2. By moving the two rows of needles 3 and 4 against each other, a second, closed compartment is formed next to this open compartment, as shown in Figure 3. In the open compartment, a thread guide 5 moves back and forth, through the pierced thickened end 6 of which a thread 7 coming from a bobbin (not shown) is drawn. The thread guide 5 sits on a multi-cranked arm 8, which is pivotably mounted about a vertical axis. This axis 9 lies approximately in the vertical center plane of the .Ware io. Due to the oscillation of the arm 8, the thread guide 5 is moved through the open compartment from one side of the warp threads to the other. The movement path of the front thickened end of the thread guide 5, through which the thread 7 is pulled, runs in the space between the two rows of perforated needles 3 and and the edge of the fabric. The Arischlag combs, which are not shown in the drawing, are also arranged at this point. Another pin ii is arranged in the vertical center plane of the goods. On this sit two opposite sides he stretching U-shaped arms 12, 13, which are appropriately thickened at their free end. The two arms i2, 13 are symmetrical to the vertical longitudinal center axis of the goods and are also symmetrical to it. The two ends are slightly to the side of the goods, close to the path of movement of the thickened end 6 of the thread guide 5. The two arms 1a, 13 sit loosely on the pin ii and can each be moved by suitable means so that their foremost Part engages between the two chain thread systems i and 2, as shown in phantom for arm 12 in Fig. I. The arms 8, 12 and 1,3 are essentially below the goods, only their front end is cranked up into the plane of the goods. The movement of the arms 8, 12 and 13 takes place in such a way that once a movement of the arm 8 and then a movement of one of the arms 12, 13 takes place, whereupon the arm 8 swings again. However, while the arm 8 only moves from one side of the goods to the other side in the event of a vibration, the arms 12, 13 move from the position shown in Fig. I to the position shown in phantom and immediately back again. The movement of the arm 8 takes place while the two chain thread systems form a thread that is open to the edge of the goods, as shown in FIG. 2, but the movement of the arms 12, 13 when. by moving the two rows of needles 3, q towards one another, a closed compartment has been formed in addition to the open compartment, as shown in Fig. 3. Of the two arms @ i2, 13 that one is made to swing out which is arranged on the side on which the thread guide 5 is standing at this moment. A part of the weft material 7 'leads from the thickened head 6 of the thread guide 5 to the edge of the fabric. The front end of the arms 12, 13 is now at such a height that when one of the arms swings out, the front thickened end of the same hits against the part 7 'of the weft material 7 and pulls this part out into a bay, which inside the closed compartment a Weft loop forms. The part of the arms 12, 13 moving through the closed compartment now has a groove 1q on the outer, curved edge into which the part of the weft loop facing the rows of needles 3, 4 is inserted. When the arm 12 or 13 moves back from: the dot-dash position to the fully extended position, the apex of the weft loop just entered is held by a finger that engages in the loop and is not shown in the drawing. The simple weft thread entered by the thread guide 5 into the open compartment and the two parts of the loop entered by one of the arms 12, 13 are struck separately for themselves. The goods are switched up between each stop. The type of goods produced in this way can be seen in Fig. I. This shows that floating and superimposed parts of weft material are not present at all on the two edges of the goods. It can also be seen from this illustration that the two edges are designed to be completely uniform.
