Process for the mechanical forming of glass tubes into glass cylinders
with exact internal dimensions The object of the present invention is to produce glass cylinders
for plunger syringes in continuous work and despite the resulting high
Load the tools so completely evenly that they are among each other
are exchangeable. So far, such cylinders have either been selected from drawn tube
and combined with a suitable piston without further processing, or it was
the pipe pieces for the piston grinded to match, they were heated and mildew
in a vacuum onto a mandrel that is close to the outside diameter of the piston in malleable
Conditions depressed. But whatever the procedure, it
mostly done by hand, or if mechanically driven equipment was used
only a single processing was carried out, with the glass tube in place
and remained in place.
In
ihn mittels Schleifmittels ausschleifen. Eine zur Ausführung des Verfahrens zu verwendende
Maschine
In diesem Falle
According to the invention, the per se known expanding process is divided
to several jobs, which the coordinated, if necessary, already on
inner width of pre-sorted workpieces in single or double lengths one after the other
run through. Depending on the type of machine, the interior of the cylinder will be shaped
carried out on a cold or warm route. If it happens the cold way, so it is
only possible by grinding process. In that case, the workpiece is advantageous
fed to a larger number of grinding mandrels, each of which is only a part
of the grinding process. As is well known, not only the workpiece,
but also the tool worn out. Since the latter is all the more the case
is, the more work the tool has to do, according to the invention, the will be
performing work not only on a larger number of tools and jobs
distributed, but it is ensured that the last places the tools
only have to bring about as little power as possible, so that they are as close to the cylinder as possible
always give the same inside width. It is also advantageous according to the invention
when replacing the tools so that you don't have to replace all of them, all of them
To move tools around one or more jobs, so that always the one
which takes care of the final grinding, is a new, precisely calibrated tool. In
The cylinders can be polished out in the same way. It goes without saying that

cold way by taking away glass, but according to the invention can do the molding
the cylinder also go on in a malleable state. In this case
the piece to be processed is first put into a sculptural state and in this
Deformed condition. This deformation is advantageously carried out by introducing a z.
B., as known for such purposes, made of coal polygonal mandrel,
which is advantageously cooled inside or when stepping out of the workpiece in

the shaping not at one job and with a mandrel, but at a multitude
of places and by means of several spikes, which come into action one after the other
and drive up the pipe section. In between, a new heating is carried out.
It is possible either to dig up gradually, i.e. with conical ones

The contact surface can also be designed as a cylinder. In this case -is the

to rotate, you can also arrange the tool to rotate. Is it about the outside
