Electrical circuit breakers Small electrical remote switches where
by exciting a solenoid, an armature located in a switch tube
the electrical connection and disconnection alternate by means of a guide curve
causes two contacts are known.
The invention differs from the known in that the
Guide curve, which in one for the electrical connection of a lower and a
Upper mercury contact serving and connected to the armature metal cylinder
is incised, au $ 'a short and a long: groove consists, which; fork-shaped
converge in a double-wide groove and which by means of an inside the
Switch tube attached iron pin control the metal cylinder.
This guide curve has the advantage, despite great simplicity, too
to still achieve safe working with a small diameter of the moving armature.
Die Zeichnung zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel. The drawing shows an embodiment.
ist folgende: Befindet sich der Zylinder e in der Ruhelage (der Nutzstrom ist eingeschaltet);
In the glass barrel e .a there are two contacts b and c, which are surrounded with mercury d, the comtal, -tb being arranged in a ring above the lower contact c. The cylinder e connecting the two contacts U and c consists of a small copper tube which is surrounded on the lower part by an iron sleeve l serving as an anchor. In the cylinder e: a long groove i and a short groove k are cut, which converge fork-shaped into a double-wide groove. The iron pin J7 attached at a certain point inside the tube controls the cylinder e as soon as it is moved by the excitation coil f: The mode of operation is as follows: If the cylinder e is in the rest position (the useful current is switched on); the iron pin h is located in the long guide groove i. If the magnetic coil f is now excited, the armature 1 rises, and with it the cylinder. This gets a rotating movement through the interaction of the iron pin h and the guide groove. Due to the centrifugal force of the rotation, the iron pin lt hits the iron sleeve l at point m . Since the armature C connected to the cylinder e and the iron pin h act magnetically and attract each other, a reverse rotation cannot take place. If the excitation coil i is de-energized, the armature l falls back, the iron pin / t gets into the short slot k - and the copper bridge e is held in place over both contacts. The useful current is interrupted. When the magnet coil f is again excited, the same operation is repeated, the only difference being that the pin lt now strikes at point.
