An der Platte α werden Stifte in beliebiger Reihenzahl und Stückzahl f¹ bis f mit einem Zinnübergufs i befestigt. An die Platte b, welche mit genau so viel Löchern versehen ist, als die Platte α Stifte hat, werden vier Schrauben d angenietet (Nietkopf e). Dann werden vier Schraubenmuttern c¹ über die Schrauben d eingedreht und die Platte α auf die Schrauben d gesteckt, so dafs sie auf den Muttern c' aufliegt; gleichzeitig damit dringen die Stifte f¹ bis f durch die Oeffnungen der Platte b. Schliefslich werden die vier Schraubenmuttern c~ zur Befestigung der Platte α aufgeschraubt. Die Länge / des vorspringenden Theiles der Stifte f¹ bis /⁷ läfst sich nun leicht durch Vor- oder Rückwärtsdrehen der Muttern c^l und c² regeln, so dafs die Stifte, wenn sie' etwas abgenutzt sind, leicht wieder verlängert werden können und dadurch der Striegel wieder gebrauchsfähig gemacht wird. Das Schärfen, welches andere Systeme erfordern, fällt damit weg. Der Stiel zur Handhabung des Ganzen ist an einer Platte h und diese wiederum mit Nieten g auf α befestigt, k dient zum Aufschlagen beim Ausklopfen des Staubes.Pins in any number of rows and pieces f ¹ to f with a tin overlay i are attached to the plate α. A horse tack in which the free ends of the teeth consisting of pins can be adjusted to any length using a trowel (b) in order to avoid sharpening.
