The headband consists of the ornate links α and the rail b holding the same. The links α , like the links of a necklace, are connected to one another by interlocking eyelets, so that they alone form a collar, as shown in FIG.

These interconnected links a are detachably attached to the rail b in the following manner: The rail b is provided on the front with two protruding ribs d , FIGS. 3 and 5, and at each end carries a slidable in a sleeve e and with rotatable hook f and nut g provided "screw h. In the middle of the rail b on the ribs d are the pins d ¹ , Fig. 5. The rosettes of all links a are corresponding to the two ribs d of the rail b with two slots a ¹ , Fig. 3 and 5, so that the links α fit tightly directly onto the rails b . The two screws / 2 are now tightened with the aid of the nuts g so that the links a of the headband are tightly fitted against the rail b. If the headband is to be converted into a collar, all that is necessary is to loosen the screws h , release the hooks f and lift the chain-like connected links α from the rail b.
