Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
Fig. 1 bis 4) vollständig fort. The usual device for holding the turret heads by means of a slide or pin (FIG. 5), which engages in incisions in the turret heads, has the disadvantage that the turret head is not fixed in its guides with the slightest clearance of the slide or pin. In order to avoid this leeway, the adjusting strips etc. have to be readjusted very frequently, which means that the slide is usually very difficult to move. This problem disappears completely with the new retention of the turret heads with two slides (see Figs. 1 to 4). The two retaining slides α and b press from different sides against the shoulders c and c 1 of the turret head and are supported against their guides in such a way that the whole system is fixed, even if the slides are loose in their guides. It is not necessary that the two slides α and b lie next to each other and press against the same shoulder; both slides can be arranged completely separately, the effect remains the same.
The turret head is switched over as follows: If the upper slide d, in which the turret head is mounted, is moved backwards in the direction of the arrow (Fig. 3), the pin e of the slide a slides on the inclined surface / the pawl g down; the slide α is thereby withdrawn and takes the second slide b with it through the nose h. The turret is now released (Fig. 3). When the upper slide d continues to go back, the released head is now rotated by the known device (FIG. 6) in the direction of the indicated arrow, until the following approach c is released against the meanwhile released by the pawl g and through a spring brought forward slide α hits. The second slide b was held back by the extension c (Fig. 4) until the head had completed its rotation, then this slide is brought forward again by a spring and the extension c of the head clamped between the two disks α and b (Fig. 2). The backward movement of the upper slide d is now complete, and while the slide is advancing again and another tool comes into operation, the turret is completely stationary. The process is repeated the next time the top slide moves backwards.
