An der Stelle, wo der cylindrische Theil des Trichters in den konischen übergeht, sind ein oder mehrere kleine Löcher von ι mm Durchmesser angebracht, welche der äufseren Luft den Eintritt in den leeren Raum/ der Vase A erlauben und bewirken, dafs die Dinte in dem Trichter immer auf gleicher Höhe oder gleichem Niveau mit der Dinte in der Vase steht.. Eine Beschmutzung des Papiers, der Umgebung des Dintenfasses etc. sowie der Hände ist gänzlich beseitigt, da ein zu tiefes Eintauchen der Feder nicht mehr vorkommen kann.
