f Verfahren zur Chromgerbung Im Hauptpatent 6¢3 o88 ist ein Verfahren zur Chromgerbung beschrieben, bei dem man Chromsalze von nicht gerbenden mehrbasischen aromatischen Säuren verwendet. f Process for chrome tanning The main patent 6 [3 o88] describes a process for chrome tanning in which chromium salts of non-tanning polybasic aromatic acids are used.

Für die Mitverwendung beim Gerben eignen sich sowohl die vegetabilischen als auch die künstlichen Gerbstoffe. Eine Nachbehandlung mit den im Hauptpatent genannten Chromsalzen kommt beispielsweise für mit vegetabilischen oder synthetischen Gerbstoffen gegerbtes Leder, alaungares Leder, Chromleder, Sämischleder usw. in Betracht. Man erzielt so Leder von besonders guter Fülle. Zur Erzielung besonderer Effekte kann man aber auch Leder, die mit den im Hauptpatent genannten Chromsalzen hergestellt worden sind, einer Nachbehandlung mit anderen Gerbstoffen unterziehen.It has now been found that it is advantageous to use the methods described in Patent 6 [3088 specified chromium salts together with other natural or artificial tanning agents can be applied simultaneously or in any order one after the other.
