Device for the control of grain preparers in the milling industry
the preparation of the grain by heating and cooling becomes more and more firm
and found larger space. In particular, it is preparing for milling
then important, when it means an essential through suitable preparatory measures
To improve the baking ability of the flour obtained from the grain.
However, the current state of preparation technology is such that it is possible to get through
an empirical attitude: to achieve a very good success, but it is not
possible this success with the same grain, perhaps a few days later
again the preparer should happen to repeat. It is also not further
possible from knowing the properties of the unprepared grain
to make the setting of the preparer from the start in such a way that the desired '
Greatest success in terms of .the improvement of baking ability is given.
These difficulties in the preparation technique are partly due
in the previous lack of knowledge of the physical processes involved in preparation
itself and the second part of the lack of adequate facilities to permanent
Control of these physical processes. As is known, the grain to be prepared will be
exposed to changing temperatures in preparation, namely the heating
by warm air or radiators, the cooling done by cooling air. One has
tries to keep the preparatory process constant with the help of writing thermometers
half, but you missed the solution of the task.
Recent studies on the preparation technique have shown
that the baking ability of the flour to be obtained from the grain depends largely on it
depends on how quickly the grain is heated or cooled in the preparer
itself goes as the rate of heating and cooling that are applied
must, "is extraordinarily different for the different types of grain. This
The speed of heating and cooling is essentially dependent on the speed of passage
of the grain by the preparer. The speed of passage of the grain
by the Vorbeneiter fluctuates extraordinarily and eludes without a measuring device
every control. So far, only the flow rate of the grain has been set in
for a longer period of time, but did not pay attention to the stoppages when going through,
which arose as a result of the cereal caking.
Since the measuring devices are operationally reliable, a considerable measuring accuracy
and have to be of the simplest design are best electric
Measuring devices are used, as they are used in a wide variety of technical fields
be applied.
i bis 6 bzw.
ausgenutzt. In gleicher Weise würde z.
Zweck folgender Vbrteil erzielen.
In the drawing, such a measuring device is in connection with
a preparer
shown schematically as an exemplary embodiment.
Resistance thermometers are used here to measure temperatures and humidity
used. The thermal meters are only available as a resistance spiral 1, 2,
3, 4 and 5 shown. What importance the spirals of resistance to the respective
Position of the preparer is not shown in particular. It is obvious
that with the given figure only a scheme of the measuring method are shown
target. In this figure, there is also no separation of the measurements, such as temperature
-of the grain and the cooling or heating air, as well as the humidity of the cooling or heating air
Heating air has been carried out, but it is only schematically one for carrying out
Appropriate facility for the procedure has been presented. The measurement of the speed of passage
of the grain is also carried out using a resistance measurement method. The spiral of resistance
6 is in its resistance by the lever <7, whose surface 8 in the grain
of the preparer protrudes, changed. Depending on how high the speed
of the grain is in the preparer, the grapple is placed on the resistor 6 on the
Lever? Assume a certain posture, and the level of resistance becomes a
Be a measure of the speed at which the grain passes through the preparer.
According to the procedure, all measurement results should be recorded side by side
be, in such a way that the recorded measurement curves in the sense of the grain flow
lying measuring points also come to lie next to each other. This is why
the measuring device has been specially designed. It is well known that the specific is changing
Resistance of conductors with temperature. The resistance spirals i through 5 are
now made from a material that has a particularly strong resistance value
with. the temperature changes. If one applies a constant resistance to such a resistance
If voltage is applied, a current flows through this resistor, which changes with the temperature
of resistance changed. Since now these resistances in the grain flow or in the air flow
are located, the temperatures of the surrounding masses are the current flowing through
affect the resistance flows. However, this influence is proportionate
small amount. In order to be able to measure them better, a bridge measuring method is used here.
This Bi-ückenmiessverfahren makes it possible to design the measurement so that the
Continuous current, which flows at a constant temperature, is switched off from the measurement
is only to determine the fluctuations of the current in the most sensitive way.
The bridge circuit also consists of the resistors 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14,
further from the resistance values 15;, and 16 and the measuring instrument 17. The bridge
is shown in the simplest form in Fig. 2-nneh. It is recognizable
that two current branches can form for the current source not shown here,
one of which is formed from resistors 15 and 16, while the other
Current branch from resistors i to 6 and 9 to 14 is shown. The resistances
i to 6 or 9 to 14. are not all switched on at the same time, but it is
only one resistance from group i to 6 and one resistance from group
9 to 1 4 switched on. This activation is carried out by the circulating
Double switch 18. As can be seen, two contact arms are on a common

of resistors i to 6 or 9 to 14 touch. On the axis of the switch is
the measuring instrument 17 is connected. Likewise, the measuring instrument 17 is in second place
connected to the connection point between resistors 15 and 16. if
now a pair of the resistors from group i to 6 or 9 to 1 ¢ so adjusted
is that at their points of contact, i.e. on the axis of the switch, the same
There is voltage like 'at the contact point of the resistors 15 and 16, then
the meter will show no current. The resistances of group g to 14
and resistors 15 and 16 are made of a material that changes with temperature
very little changed. It is now clear that when the resistance of the group i
until 6 the temperature changes, a current must flow through the instrument 17,
which corresponds to the temperature change at this resistor of groups i to 6. the
The consequence of this is that the pointer of the measuring instrument 17 assumes a certain position.
These processes are known and already in many ways in general measurement technology
exploited. In the same way, z. B. a change in the resistance 6 by
the different velocities of grain through the preparer
cause a rash on the instrument 17 that runs concurrently with the. change
the speed of passage. With this facility can be used for the present
Purpose to achieve the following advantage. It is known that the range of possible
Temperature fluctuations at the individual measuring points
of the preparer
is not very big. It is also known that the speed of passage
only changes within certain limits. Because the measurement does not start from scratch
begins, but from a state known as the lowest limit, it becomes possible
that the required scales can be kept very small and that anyway
the fluctuations are recorded in a very precise way.

To now the requirement in the process corresponding to the invention
it is given that the measurement curves of the various measuring points are right next to each other

in deutlicher Weise darstellen.
From the foregoing it is clear that there are several such instruments
