Procedure. for the production of hard and light coumarone resins Es
it is known that under certain conditions it is possible by treating
Crude benzene hydrocarbons of certain boiling limits, especially of crude solution benzene
I and 1I and heavy benzene or a mixture of these with one another, with concentrated
Sulfuric acid after prior removal of the phenols and subsequent distillation
to obtain coumarone resins as distillation residue, which in addition to a high softening point
have the merit of a light color. The light color of these resins will do
achieved in particular by the hydrocarbon mixture to be treated
cools or the concentrated sulfuric acid admits in such proportions that the temperature
of the reaction mixture does not exceed a certain limit.
Since the introduction of the so-called mild sulfuric acid wash with moderate
concentrated acid from 58 to 60 ° B6 -, was used as the distillation residue in the
Pure distillation of the hydrocarbons, however, a soft, very dark-colored one
Get coumarone resin, unlike yours, in some circumstances when concentrated
It is very difficult to settle the light-colored, hard resin obtained by washing with sulfuric acid
was. There is also the fact that since the introduction of mild washing
the crude carbons and hydrogen are not washed in individual fractions as in the past
has, d. H. Crude benzene, crude toluene, crude xylene, crude solvent benzene I and II separately,
but that you now get all of the crude benzene hydrocarbons from crude benzene
washed up to the crude solvent benzene II together, causing a further deterioration
of the resins obtained occurred.
It is the purpose of the invention without altering what is now customary
mild washing process from the resulting soft, dark-colored resin
to obtain light-colored, spring-hard coumarone resin. The invention achieves this in principle
by removing the dark and
soft coumarone resins through suitable post-polymerization, optionally down additional
Use of suitable decolorizing agents, converted into hard and light colored coumarone resins.
dunkelfgfpiges Närz nachträglich in einem Lösungsmitte@ewie beispielsweise Benzol;
In the operational implementation of this process, it is expedient
according to the invention in such a way that in the pure distillation of the previously with
mildly acid-washed benzene-hydrocarbon mixture only up to about xylene
drifts off and the solution remaining in the bladder, namely soft, dark-colored
Coumarone resin in solution benzene I and I1, further treated in such a way that in a subsequent
Distillation of the solvent benzene I and II
a light colored,
hard waiting will be held. But you can also use Xertib already manufactured, soft,
dunkelfgfpiges Närz subsequently in a solvent such as benzene;
Toluene or solvent benzene or II, dissolve and treat it in the same way.
dienen.
Näch dem Abziehen der Lauge werden die Lösungsmittel durch Destillation entfernt;
Destillation abgeschieden. Als Rückstand verbleibt
ein helles, hartes Cumaronbarz. The following exemplary embodiments may be used to explain the invention
to serve. Example i The above-mentioned coumarone resin solution is optionally by.

treated and neutralized cum, aron resin solution is mixed with 5 to about 300/0 fuller's earth,
active charcoal or other decolorizing agents (based on the coumarone resin content)
treated under heated. The solution becomes through Abs: iTzenlassien or FiltrIenen
separated from the decolorizing agents, the solvent removed by distillation
and a pale, hard coumarone resin is obtained as the residue. Example 3 The coumarone resin solution
is, optionally after previous filtration, based on q.o to ¢ o0% alcohol
on the Cuniaron resin content; added while stirring. By adding the alcohol
The previously homogeneous coumarone resin solution divides into two layers, of which the
the lower one contains a hard and elles, the upper one a soft and dark resin.
If the color of this hard resin does not yet meet special requirements,
so the bottom layer can be peeled off and; possibly with heating, with decolorizing devices
be treated in a suitable amount, whereby a further brightening is achieved.
After removing the decolorizing agent by allowing it to settle or filtering
then the solvent through. Distillation deposited. Remains as a residue
a light, hard coumarone resin.
