Den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet eine Einrichtnng an Wasserleitungen, durch welche bei eintretenden Rohrbrüchen oder wenn ein Hahn offen steht und das Wasser durch den Abflufs nicht entweichen kann, eine alsbaldige selbsttätige Abstellung des Haupthahnes bewirkt wird, Ueberfluthungen also verhindert werden. Gleichzeitig bietet die Einrichtung auch sicheren Schutz gegen das Einfrieren. Von dem möglichst nahe der Eintrittsstelle des Leitungsrohres in das Gebäude angebrachten Haupthahn D an sind die Leitungsrohre A mit einem weiteren Rohr B versehen, welches bequemerer Anbringung halber auch der Länge nach getheilt sein kann. Dieses Rohr B, dessen Anordnung bereits bekannt ist, kann aus einem einzigen Strang oder auch aus einzelnen Theilen bestehen. Die Theilung des Rohres B empfiehlt sich, wenn, wie in Fig. 2, Wassermesser F in das Leitungsrohr A eingeschaltet werden. Das Rohr B ist durch Seitenrohre c mit dem oberen Theil der Ausgufsbecken C, sowie in gleicher Weise mit den Badewannen, Closets etc. verbunden. Von seinen tiefsten Stellen münden Rohre G aus, deren untere offene Enden sich über dem Wasserbehälter H befinden. Dieser Behälter H ist an den mit dem Küken des Hahnes D verbundenen Quadranten E gehängt und durch das Gegengewicht J ausbalancirt. Platzt das Rohr A an irgend einer Stelle oder steht ein Hahn offen und ist in letzterem Falle gleichzeitig der entsprechende Abflufs verstopft, so dringt das Wasser in das Rohr B und strömt durch das Ablaufrohr G in den Behälter H. Letzterer sinkt in Folge des vermehrten Gewichts unter Anhebung des Gegengewichts wieder, wobei durch Drehung des Quadranten E der Haupthahn D geschlossen wird.
