StreckenblockRoute block
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 28. April 1935 abPatented in the German Empire on April 28, 1935
It is known to use suction transformers in electric railways, which the The purpose of this is to cause the monitoring current to wander off via the return current cable into a to prevent the next block. This simultaneously eliminates the unwanted and sometimes dangerous influence on the low-voltage power lines by the traction power line prevented. These suction transformers have been omitted in cases where there is also an automatic section block for As it was believed, it was now applied to every suction transformer that required the installation of Insulating tabs in the track makes it necessary to have to end a block section. This would increase the number of block relays and block power sources required caused that the plant is uneconomical.
The present invention enables the use of suction transformers also in the line block without the disadvantages mentioned, which happens because the insulating joints present in connection with the suction transformer are expediently bridged by sieve chains, throttle surges, etc., in such a way that the block flow can be carried out without affecting the effect of the suction transformer. If direct current is used as the block current, the two currents can also be guided differently by using one rail of the track for the drive current and both rails for the block current. The suction transformer is then also only connected to one rail and at the same time carries the block current without this having a harmful effect. One would have to measure the secondary winding of the booster transformer and the core of the booster transformer so that adverse effects by the magnetic bias of the DC current can not occur under certain circumstances one would have known to insert a 1 air gap in the core of the booster transformer.
If one uses different currents for both currents, drive current and block current, alternating current Frequency, according to the invention, sieve chains o. The like. Arrange or throttle surges that despite the insulating brackets required for the suction transformer ensure unimpeded transmission of the block current to the block relay without the effectiveness of the suction transformer to affect the drive current.

The subject of the invention is in the illustrations for example explained in more detail.
In Fig. Ι ι is the block route through the suction transformer 2 is divided. 3 and * 4 are two insulating tabs. 5 is the block? power source, 6 the block relay. The drive current is passed over the rail 7 of the track 1 ornd flows due to the insulating tab)! 3 and 4 via the suction transformer 2. This is now designed so that in addition to the drive current the block current can also flow through its secondary winding without damaging it To cause bias. Through the line 8, which is at a center tap of the transformer 2 is seated, the insulating bar 9 is also connected so that the Block current is short-circuited, even if the train is at this point.
Fig. 2 shows another embodiment, in which for the block flow and the drive flow Alternating current is used and both rails of the track with the help of choke ■ butt of the usual design can be used to return the drive current. Here the insulating joints 3, 4 and 30, 40 arranged on the suction transformer, 2 are bridged by sieve chains 10, 11, 12, 13, the capacitors and windings of which are dimensioned so that they let the block flow through, but not the drive flow. The block stream can therefore flow unhindered from the block transformer 50 to the block relay 60 without the the desired effectiveness of the suction transformer for the drive current is impaired. Fig. 3 shows another, embodiment, in which the two outside the insulating rails 9, 90 horizontal throttle thrusts 14, 15 connected to one another by lines 16, 17 are, wherein a capacitor 18 is connected between the two. This one is under Consideration of the inductance of the two throttle surges 14, 15 is dimensioned so that only the Block current flows through lines 16, 17, while the drive current flows through the suction transformer must flow.
Fig. 4 shows a similar embodiment as Fig. 3, but with only a single throttle shock 19 is provided for bridging the insulating bars 9, 90, which has a third winding to which the capacitor 18 is connected.
In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the insulating rails are monitored 9.90 waived by the block stream. These embodiments can according to the invention can also be designed in such a way that the insulating bars are also monitored.
