So
Arbeitsgange.Method of making fine, roasted good chunks It is already
It has been proposed to use fine sulfidic ores, such as pebbles, zinc blende or
Galena, 2r. B. flotation ores to be converted into a lumpy form before roasting.
These proposals not only relate to blow-out roasting, but also to roasting processes that
in which the 'roasting is not connected with sintering at the same time. in the
In the latter case one reckons with the fact that the property is granular or large-sized
Shape would be retained during roasting and a lumpy roast would be obtained
could. In fact, however, a product that has been made lumpy disintegrates during roasting
to a large extent back to dust or fine grain, so that the intended purpose
could not be reached. For the roasting, there are also a
previous grain size of the ore no advantages .; because the can on a granular good
Roasted air cannot be brought into the effect as thoroughly as when the material is in
is in fine condition. In particular, the smaller surface of the granular acts
@ Good detrimental. In accordance with this, practice has shown that with
an atomization roasting, in which the roasting air is roughly in the manner of a pulverized coal combustion
is brought into contact with the roasted food, the oxidation with great heat development
and goes on very quickly, so that here a very, extensive desulfurization
of the good can be achieved. Finer goods can also be placed in deck and rotary kilns
Roast faster and more extensively than coarser grain. So it turns out that
a grain enlargement of the material before it is oxidized is not expedient. Advantageous
it is .on the other hand, to win the roasted food in granular or large-sized form. So
is z. B. the shipping and processing of fine goods in many cases a lot
more difficult than that of lumpy goods. Gravel burns are z. B. before. shipping
or the smelting in the blast furnace usually sintered. Making fine things lumpy
Up to now, roasted goods have always been done in a separate, independent from the roasting
Operations.
In besonderen Fällen.::
This is where the invention comes in. The fine sulphidic ores are
as far as possible using the advantages that their physical state offers,
roasted. Immediately after roasting, according to the invention, the still hot,
fine roasted food mixed with binding agents such as baking coal or sulphite liquor,
the heat contained in the roasted material turns it into a lumpy
Ball up the shape. In addition to coal or sulphite waste liquor, the binder can also be used
other substances hardening in the heat are added, which are chosen according to the purpose
that they are useful in the later processing of the roasted material. the end
the roasting ovens that come into question here, such as B. iriehrherdigen ovens, rotary kilns
or atomizing ovens, the roast will be, if not glowing, then at a very high level
Temperature released. the
The heat it contains is usually enough
for performing the piece-making according to the invention. In special cases.::
can use the devices in which 14 mixing the hot roasted material with binding agent
or the solidification of the mixture takes place, additional heat can be supplied.
und gleichzeitig auch die Zerteilung des Gemisches in die gewünschte Korngröße bewirkt;
For example, according to the invention, the hot gravel burns that
are discharged from the roasting oven, small amounts of baking coal in fine
Form added. This happens e.g. B. in such a way that the gravel burns initially
brought to an intermediate bunker. For this they become evenly
Stream fed with the binder to a device that expediently the mixing
and at the same time also causes the mixture to be broken down into the desired grain size;
z. B. a mixing screw or mixing drum or similar known mixing devices
be used. The coal gives a large part of its volatile components
and at the same time cementing the material into solid grains or pieces, their size
determined by the mixing device used or by subsequent comminution
will. If sulphite waste liquor is used as a binding agent, the facility can do so
be that the sulfur dioxide released during the mixture, z. B. by introducing
in the roasting oven, is made usable. In the production of sulft cellulose,
in this way recover a large part of the sulfur contained in the sulphite waste liquor
and Z. B. use for the production of new sulf tlauge.
In ähnlicher Weise,
ausgestalten. When granulating gravel burns with coal or other combustible ones
Binding agents containing substances can, for. B. the product with other fine ores
mixed and the mixture sintered. The product brings in this
Mix some or all of the fuel required for the
Sintering the mixture e.g. B. on fan grids, such as L.urgi sintered grids
is. But it is also possible to directly use the granulated gravel burns according to the invention
to be fed to the blast furnace. Here you see from the intimate mixture of coal
tßd ore still has particular advantages for processing in the blast furnace. In a similar way,
as described for gravel burns, the method according to the invention can be in
its details also in the processing of other ores of iron or non-ferrous metals
shape.
aber auch feines, z. B. staubförmiges Gut klein- oder grobkörnig gemacht werden;
5 nzm, hergestellt. This is not the case when fine roasted food is made into pieces according to the invention
Depending on the choice of mixing device and binding agent, different products are available
Grain or piece sizes. Depending on your needs, the goods can be larger or larger
smaller pieces can be obtained, e.g. B. of hazelnut or fist size, etc. It can
but also fine, z. B. powdery material can be made small or coarse grained;
z. B. grains of pea size or smaller shape, e.g. B. of about o,
5 nzm, manufactured.
