Description
The use of the Braunsehen tube to test the ignition process in internal combustion engines, the subject of the invention is the use of the brown vision Tube (cathode ray fluorescent tube) as light-generating, with the individual ignition circuits Discharge tube connected to test the ignition process of internal combustion engines. The usual neon tube appears here through the point of impact of the electron beam replaced on the fluorescent screen, and when using a rotating body, who carries the neon tube or is illuminated by it, enters the moving electron beam in place of the rotating body. You can z. B. the Braun tube for testing of the ignition process in such a way that on the one hand the cathode ray through Deflection plates or electromagnets have a continuous time deflection movement on the Fluoreszenzschi-rm experiences, while on the other hand by the originating from the ignition process Voltage or current surges this movement and its appearance on the fluorescent screen is disturbed. The movement of the fluorescent spot can, for. B. a straight line or be a circular, caused by the known flip-flops, and the The glowing lines generated then suffer from the ignition process, its effect the tilting movement is superimposed, interruptions for the control of the latter to serve. A difficulty in using the Braunsehen tube is its production the relatively high voltages required for operation. Will the tube like this mounted so that their fluorescent screen appears on the instrument panel, then you can Apparatus for converting the battery voltage into the required high DC voltages be mounted near the dashboard and maybe even experience one somewhat expensive, but very elegant examination option. It also seems possible the high tensions of the ignition process lead to an instantaneous operation of the Braunsehen To exploit the tube, in which case by electrostatic or magnetic deflection it must be ensured that the successive fluorescent sparks do not appear appear at the same point on the fluorescent screen, but keep moving regularly, z. B, a very small alternator moved by the main engine could do the job Supply current for a magnetic coil, which periodically moves the cathode ray back and forth vibrates.
