Bei der Befestigung des Schlittschuhes werden die zwei Eingriffslappen cc in die in der Schuhsohle vorgesehenen Aussparungen unterhalb der Platte α und in die Ausschnitte ä² α² geschoben, wobei dieselben gerade gegenüber den in der Platte α befindlichen Löchern a^l a^l zu stehen kommen und auf diese Weise gleichzeitig ein Herausstofsen des etwa in den Aussparungen angesammelten Schmutzes bewirken. Um überdies eine unverrückbare Verbindung herzustellen, ist auf der Stützplatte b ein kleiner konischer Stift vorgesehen, der in ein entsprechendes Loch der Sohlplatte α eintritt. Die Befestigung der Hinterseite des Schlittschuhes an dem Absatz geschieht wie folgt: In den Absatz des Stiefels ist ein Kästchen d eingegelassen, in welchem eine Schraube e drehbar, aber in der Längsrichtung nicht verschiebbar gelagert ist. Auf derselben sitzt eine Mutter/, die nach vorn in eine Gabel g ausläuft. In der unteren Platte d¹ des Kastens d ist eine Oeffnung h vorgesehen, durch welche der knopfartig geformte Zapfen i der hinteren Stützplatte k des Schlittschuhes in den Kasten d eingeschoben werden kann. Ist derselbe in den Kasten eingeführt, so wird durch Drehung der Schraube e vermittelst eines Schlüssels die Mutter h vorgeschoben, nimmt den knopfartigen Zapfen i der Stützplatte k zwischen ihre Gabelenden auf und zieht, da die letzteren keilförmig gestaltet sind, die Stützplatte k fest gegen die untere Platte d¹ des Kastens d.
