Description
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a vacuum tube with an essentially rectangular Ouetschstelle in which several support wires are fixed are.
Such a vacuum tube can, for. B. consist of an electric discharge tube, whose electrodes are supported by wires fixed in the pinch point, while some of these wires serve as power leads. Incandescent lamps, too, often have a pinch point with several wires are attached.
It is often very desirable to have electrodes or others supported by the wires To arrange parts very firmly in the tube. In discharge tubes for the reception or the Amplification of electrical oscillations, in which often four or more electrodes are arranged are, z. B. often has the disadvantage that the relatively heavy electrode structure is not arranged firmly enough on the pinch point, so that adjustments or displacements of the whole Electrode structure and the individual electrodes against each other are possible. this can give rise to undesirable changes in the characteristic quantities and even to breakage of the discharge tube.
It has therefore already been suggested that electrical To provide discharge tubes with cruciform pinch points and the support wires to be attached to the ends of the arms of these pinch points. The support wires are consequently arranged in a cross shape, so that results in a more stable arrangement of the electrodes carried by the wires. Such cruciform pinch points, however, have the disadvantage that their manufacture is complicated and is costly.
The purpose of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages.
According to the invention, the support wires are in several rows within one Plate tube arranged while between the various rows of wires or several glass parts are provided, whereupon the end of the plate tube in the usual Way is squeezed together under heating. The glass parts make an excellent one Insulation and ensure that the space between the rows of wires is well filled.

The method according to the invention leads in a simple manner to a customary, im substantial rectangular pinch point and is particularly suitable for mass production; however, it becomes a much more rigid arrangement compared to the known arrangements the supported body achieved.
The glass parts provided between the rows of support wires can advantageously be made from ίο consist of one or more glass tubes attached around one or more of the wires.
In the drawing, some embodiments are shown in accordance with the method according to FIG Invention manufactured tubes shown for example.

The electrode structure shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 3 consists of an anode 1, three grids 2, 3 and 4 and a hot cathode 5. These electrodes are different -metal support wires attached to the Ouetschstelle 6. The support wires of the electrodes are at their upper end connected to the glass support rod 7, which in turn by means of two support wires 8 through the "pinch point 6 is supported. Some support wires are with through the pinch point connected power supply wires. From Fig. 4 it can be seen that the various support wires are attached in two rows in the pinch point 6. The support wires 8 for the glass rod and the Stutz-So wires 9 for the grid together form one Row, while the remaining support wires are arranged in a different row. It is It can be seen that the arrangement of the support wires in two rows provides a very stable set-up of the electrode structure with it, while the pinch point can nevertheless be produced in a very simple way can. As can be seen from the drawing, this pinch point has the usual, im substantial rectangular cross-section. ■ It can be seen that the pages of this The pinch point does not always have to be completely flat. The one shown in Fig. 5 in plan view Pinch point has z. B. a side that is not completely flat, but slightly curved. The parts of the pinch point that are slightly wider than the rest of the way are perfectly suitable especially to place the support wires at a great distance from each other. How out Fig. S shows, it is possible to arrange the support wires in three rows, in such a way, that the support wires 10, which form one of the outer rows, in the widest parts the Ouetschstelle are arranged.
The glass parts provided according to the invention between the rows of support wires can be in can be inserted in different shapes and ways. In the preparation of the pinch point shown in Fig. 4 is z. B. before squeezing the plate tube, from which this pinch point is made, between the two rows of wires Arranged glass rod, which is shown in phantom in FIG. 4 and denoted by 11. In the Formation of the pinch point, which is known to take place in that the end of the plate tube is squeezed, this rod is taken up in the pinch point, creating a reliable spatial separation and Isolation of the two rows of wires is achieved.
A very simple manufacturing process is that one or more of the in wires to be attached to the pinch point prior to forming the pinch point with a Glass tubes are tightly surrounded. This H * position will be shown below 6 will be explained in more detail. In this figure, the upper edge of an in 7 denotes the preformed plate tube shown in view. In this small tube the various wires are arranged, with a certain number of the wires to be fastened in the pinch point surrounded by a glass tube. These glass tubes are denoted by 13. At the Squeezing the upper end of the plate tube, the tubes 13 are in the Ouetschstelle added while doing so for good padding between the support wires Take care. A vent tube can also be used to form the Ouetsch site be provided, by means of which the vacuum tube can be vented later.
B. möglich, die Drähte derart in der Quetschstelle zu befestigen, daß jede Reihe eine gleich große Anzahl von Drähten enthält, während es unter Umständen auch erforderlich sein kann, daß einerIt is clear that the support wires can also be connected to something other than that shown in the figures Kind can be distributed in different rows. It is Z. B. possible the wires in such a way to fasten in the pinch point that each row has an equal number of Contains wires, while it may also be necessary that one
