An sich sind auch sog. "Flachwicklungen für chirurgische Nähseide schon vorgeschlagen worden; doch handelt es sich hier um Wicklungen, die über plattenartige Haltestege gelegt sind. Das gleiche gilt von der chirurgischen Nähseide, die in Strängchenform bekannt ist und ebenfalls eine Rundwicklung darstellt.
