Andererseits haben die bisher bekannten vollwandigen Preßkissen den Nachteil, daß sie nur eine geringe Verstellungsmöglichkeit und Anpassungsfähigkeit gegenüber dem jeweiligen zu bearbeitenden Schuh haben. Es wurde an sich schon vorgeschlagen, bei vollwandigen Preßkissen aus Gummi oder ähnlichem nachgiebigem Werkstoff am Boden der Preßform eine Aushöhlung vorzusehen, die sich im wesentlichen über die ganze Fläche des Kissens erstreckt und nur einen verhältnismäßig schmalen, erhabenen Rand stehen läßt.
