Die Form soll zweckmäßig lockig sein. Die Kräuselung muß sich in allen drei Dimensionen bewegen, so daß die Gestalt einer Schraubenfeder besonders brauchbar ist. Die Fäden können selbstverständlich gefärbt oder farblos sein. Durch die Art ihrer Wicklung bilden sie eine elastische und wärmeisolierende Füllung.
