Description
017615017615
The invention relates to woodworking saws with inserted or attached teeth made of high-speed steel. It was known to groove the teeth on the back and to push them onto tongues of the master blade so that they encompass the tongues laterally. The fastening is done by rivets. The novelty is that the teeth are hard-soldered on their entire contact surface with the blade tongues that are the same thickness as the blade and are ground conically on both sides, from the cutting edge to the blade. It was also known to solder differently shaped teeth to the master blade over their entire contact surface, so that the invention lies in the combination of the features mentioned.
The advantages of a saw blade designed in this way are that special fastening means for the teeth, such as rivets, wedges and the like, are unnecessary, that the teeth can be used up to a small residue and that the master blade can be made very thin and does not require any additional processing. The teeth themselves do not need to be set and, due to their firm connection with the master blade, cannot loosen even under the highest stress. When using the saw blade, there is only very little loss of cut, while the cut surfaces themselves turn out to be very clean.
Circular saws, log band saws, gang saws, etc. can work in this way with high-speed steel teeth be provided.
The object of the invention is shown in the drawing using two exemplary embodiments shown, namely show:

.Fig. 5 is a side view of part of a finished log band saw. .
The relatively thin master blade α , made of ordinary steel, is provided with sawtooth-like tongues α 1 , between which there are wide gaps α 2 , as can be seen in the left part of Fig. 1. During the manufacture of the saw blade, hardened teeth b grooved in the back are pushed onto the master blade tongues α 1 with the interposition of a U-shaped strip so that these tongues completely fill the grooves of the teeth, b and thus form part of the finished teeth, such as the middle part of Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 can be seen. Then the teeth b are brazed to the tongues α 1. Then the teeth b , which are firmly connected in this way to the tongues α 1 , are ground on both sides back and down obliquely to the thickness of the base sheet α , so that the tooth face and tooth back are conical, while the tooth cutting edge is retained in its original width, as the right part of Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 show. Finally, the tooth base of the finished saw blade is rounded off by grinding.
Abb. 5 zeigt eine in entsprechender Weise hergestellte Blockbandsäge.Fig. 5 shows a log band saw produced in a corresponding manner.
