Device for air cooling It is known by means of natural or
artificially generated ice to cool air and place this between the ice container and
to keep a room to be cooled in circulation. Here, according to Fig. I, the
warmer air is introduced into the room above at s, a, the ice on an air-permeable grate, d
carries, while the cooled air exits below at f and the melt water below
Air seal is removed at g. Air and melt water, they move in the same way
Direction. The melt water accumulates between the pieces of ice in the bottom
Part of the ice container rc, making it difficult for air to pass through. If the
Air is driven through the ice by means of a fan or the like, it tears when
Passage through the meltwater accumulated below with parts of the meltwater
away, which is undesirable in all cases in which, in addition to cooling, a
The aim is to dry or keep the refrigerated goods dry.
It is also already an air cooling device with several superimposed
Ice containers known, in which the warm air enters below, the superimposed
Ice cream; flows through the container one after the other from bottom to top and the top container
leaves cooled above. With this arrangement, however, all of the melt water collects
in the lowest container, so that the air resistance at this point is also proportionate
is high. The refill of the ice is also in the bottom container, in which the
Ice under the influence of: heated incoming air melts fastest, uncomfortable,
unless special facilities are provided for this.
c getrennt.
Schmelzwasser oben fehlt. The invention is intended to avoid these disadvantages. The invention is illustrated in Figs. The two ice containers a and b are not arranged one above the other, but side by side. They are separated by a wall c. The ice is stored on both sides on rusting. The air enters the first compartment at the top a:, and flows through the layer of ice in a from top to bottom. It is then passed through the layer of ice in the other compartment b from bottom to top, with a fan f causing the air movement. In this way, the air comes into contact with ice before it exits, which is not yet saturated with meltwater, because at the outlet: the air temperature is closest to the ice temperature, the melting effect is therefore lowest here and an accumulation of meltwater trickling down at the top is missing.
vermindert. This arrangement has compared to that with one above the other
Ice containers - initially the advantage that the ice in the first container a, in which
: it melts fastest under the influence of the incoming warm air, convenient
can be refilled because the containeraa is freely accessible from above. she has
also the known arrangement, over the advantage that the melt water, which
is formed in the first container a, immediately downwards; is discharged, so not
can get into the second container b, as is the case with containers on top of one another
the case is. This also reduces the accumulation of meltwater and the air resistance
reduced.
