Sitz- oder Randverkleidung für keramische Körper Die Erfindung betrifft
eine Sitz- oder Randverkleidung für keramische Körper, insbesondere Klosettbecken,
Spülbecken u. dgl., die aus einer im warmen Zustand auf eine schwalbenschwanzförmige
Verankerungsleiste dieser Körper aufgezogenen Hartgummileiste besteht. Man hat bisher
schon solche Randverkleidungen aus Hartgummi vorgeschlagen und sie in der Weise
ausgeführt, daß man sie versenkt am Körper durch Aufstülpen auf den schwalbenschwanzförmigen
Körperrand anbrachte. Da die Körper durch den Brennvorgang verschieden ausfallen,
müssen dabei die Backen oder Leisten im kalten, harten Zustand einzeln genau der
Körpergestaltung angepaßt werden. Bedingt ist dies besonders durch die erwähnte
bisherige Randgestaltung der Körper, bei welcher an beiden Stirnseiten der Backen
oder Leisten Stoßfugen a, b (Fig. i) gegenüber dem Körperstand entstehen,
die schwer auszugleichen sind. Das Anpressen der Backen oder Leisten an den Körper
kann dabei im günstigsten Fall in zwei Richtungen erfolgen, einmal gegen die Stützfläche

Fig.2 bis q. dargestellten Ausführungsformen. Der Rand ,des Klosettkörpers i ist
mit einer Schwalbenschwanzleiste 2 ausgestattet, die bei der Ausführungsform der
Fig. 2 und 3 einerseits bei 3 frei endigt und anderseits bei q. in die Körperfläche
übergeht, so daß die Leiste halbinselförmig am oberen Rand des Körpers i hervorragt.
Die zugehörige Hartgummileiste 5 hat an ihrer Unterseite eine Schwalbenschwanznut,
die auf die Leiste 2 paßt. Die Backe 5 wird im kalten Zustand den Randverhältnissen
des
Körpers i genau angepaßt, also insbesondere der Schwalbenschwanzleiste
2, der Stützfläche und der Seitenfläche q., und dann durch Behandlung mit Wärme
erweicht. In diesem Zustand kann die Backe 5 auf die Leiste 2 gestülpt werden, worauf
sie mechanisch gegen die Stützfläche und die Seitenfläche d. gepreßt wird. Durch
Erkalten und Erhärten kommt sie zur festen Umklammerung der Leiste 2. Bei der geschilderten
Ausbildung des Körperrandes und der Hartgummileiste ist durch das vorausgehende
Zurichten und durch die ermöglichte Anpressung an alle Berührungsflächen ein bündiger
Sitz und eine geschlossene Stoßfuge leicht zu erreichen. Dies kann noch dadurch
verbessert werden, daß die die Anschlußflächen an die Hartgummileisten 5 begrenzenden
Ecken und Kanten des keramischen Körpers i stumpfwinklig gestaltet werden, wie dies

abgesenkt werden, wie dies bei 8 in Fig. 2 und q. erkennbar ist. Aus den gleichen
Figuren ebenso aus Fig. 6 ist ersichtlich, wie zur Vermeidung von nachteiligen und
schwer auszukleidenden Fugen die Backenlängs- und -schmalseiten in die Körperflächen
