Process for the separation of by the reaction of alkali chlorides with ammonium nitrate
Salt mixtures obtained from alkali nitrate and ammonium chloride The main patent 567 844
concerns a Vera drive to the separation of by conversion of, alkali chlorides with
Ammonium nitrate obtained salt mixtures from alkali nitrate and ammonium chloride, which is in it
consists that the salt mixture is floated with the addition of suitable flotation reagents.
As such, fl; otation reagents have become the commonly used ones, which both
Collectors as well as frothers or both together can be called.

after a very short treatment in very great purity.

The alkalinity of the medium can vary within wide limits. It has

corresponding amount of alkali, preferably sodium or potassium hydroxide or ammonia,

if the conditions known per se for the formation of these mixtures are maintained.
ausgerüsteten Behälter die Suspension innig vermischt, was in wenigen Minuten geschehen
Man, erhält etwa
o, i bis o,2 % davon enthält.
Ausführungsbeispiel Il In, i l einer Lauge, enthaltend 4039 Kaliumchlorid, 25 g
Embodiment I In a caustic solution of 1.28 liters, prepared from 50o ccm of water, 405 g of sodium nitrate, 147.5 g of ammonium chloride and 722.5 g of ammonia nitrate, after adding 25 ccm of concentrated ammonia water, 137 g of ammonium nitrate are added with stirring and after 30 minutes of finely ground table salt added. After 3 to 4 hours. the implementation is finished. A mixture of sodium nitrate and ammonium chloride has separated out in a practically theoretical amount. After adding 3.5 cc of linseed oil or linseed oil varnish, the suspension is intimately mixed in a container equipped with a beater, which is done in a few minutes. My container is drained off like a whisker, the sodium nitrate collecting on the bottom, while the ammonium chloride is drained off through an overflow. The sodium nitrate is returned to the same or my second container equipped with a cross beater and the ammonium chloride that is still adhering is also made to float: The separation takes place again as before. About 146 g of sodium extract with 97 to 98% NaNO3 and about 94g of ammonium chloride with 96% NH4C1 are obtained. The sodium nitrate is completely free from linseed oil, while the ammonium chloride contains only about 0.1 to 0.2% of it. The rest of the linseed oil remains in the mother liquor. Embodiment II In a lye containing 4039 potassium chloride, 25 g ammonium chloride, 2,000 g ammonium nitrate and 2-potassium hydroxide, 149 g potassium chloride and 1609 ammonium nitrate are stirred in at about 50 ° C. After stirring for about 2 hours, the mixture is allowed to cool to about 20 ° C. It is floated with the addition of about 5 cc of commercially available gasoline, as described in Example i. After passing through the apparatus twice, about 205 g of potassium nitrate of over 99% and about logg of ammonium chloride of 97 to 98%, based on dry matter, are obtained. The potassium nitrate is free from gasoline. The ammonium chloride contains only small amounts which can easily be removed and recovered, for example by heating.
