Molding device for making pots from clay or similar masses
In order to get into the bottoms of the clay pots, especially the flower pots, letters, numbers, recesses,
Embossing patterns and the like are forming devices with rotatable. Base plate
used, which bears the letters to be embossed. They are molding devices
known with closed rotatable base plate, which corresponds to the surface
is profiled. The solid floor serving as a base is built in such a way that the
can pull off forming slips downwards. An openwork rotating plate
is therefore impossible to use, since the sound then also escapes downwards
without the profiled plate rotating. The closed one
rotatable plate has a high frictional resistance on the circumference, which is caused by it
is that clay settles between the form and the revolving floor. This makes the rotation strong
influenced. It is also a hindrance that the pin on the stamp, which is used for
Manufacture of the air hole in the clay pot is used, is rigid and is in a recess
in the center of the rotating plate. This indentation is made during molding
filled with clay before the rigid pin presses into the recess. Since this
Sound only through the fine gap between the rigid tenon and the recess in the rotating base
can escape, a semi-rigid coupling occurs and thus a strong influence
the free rotation of the rotating base. If the recess in the rotating base is larger than
the rigid pin on the stamp, there is no burr-free air hole in the clay pot. It
devices are also known with a non-continuous edge of the rotatable base plate.
This reduces the circumferential friction, but does not reduce the frictional resistance
on the bottom. The known devices do not work reliably. For
the success of the embossing is a prerequisite that plenty of deep profiling
are provided on the rotatable base plate so that this plate despite the large
Frictional resistance is carried along by the clay of the pot to be formed. If .
A rich and deep profiling is not possible, are the known Vorrichtüngen
not reliable.

The molding device for making pots from clay, in this case flower pots, is inserted into the molding machine with the pin o, the fold n and the threaded piece in. The punch a rotates at a high number of revolutions in a fixed position, while the lower mold part b with the base piece c does not rotate and is moved upwards with each clay pot in order to close the molding device. The rotating punch a also sets the tone in a rotating motion, namely the tone rotates a little slower than the punch a. This punch a rotates in the clay, and the clay rotates in the mold base b, whereby the clay pot is formed. This mode of operation has all such well-known molding devices.
The invention consists in the combination of an openwork, rotatable base plate d, which only has the parts d to f to be embossed or letters, numbers, recesses, patterns and the like with the necessary connecting webs and a lower pivot e, with a fixed and a resilient steel track l and g. The solid base for the clay pot to be produced forms a solid, closed base c. Due to the resilient effect of the steel pin g, the rotatable parts d and f to be embossed are pressed against the solid base c during the molding process, so that no sound can penetrate between c and d. During the molding process and when the lower part of the mold b comes down, the spring pin g presses a non-frying air hole into the clay pot. Since the parts that are to be imprinted are mounted so that they rotate very easily between a fixed and resilient steel track, the frictional resistance is low. The clay pots receive good embossing and are smoothed on the floor surface by the solid base c. As a result of the very easy rotatability, the power requirement is low and the service life of the molding device is long.
Zweck,'kleine Steine, welche mitunter im Ton sind, auf die Seite zu schieben.i is the spring that pushes the steel track g outwards. The stop ring k serves as a limitation. The inclined surfaces h of the pin g have the purpose of pushing small stones, which are sometimes in the clay, to one side.
