Abstract
A heat exchanger includes a pair of header pipes (2, 3), a plurality of heat transfer tubes (4), and a desiccant container (18) containing a desiccant (12) inserted into a header pipe (3). The desiccant container (18) is formed as a tubular body having an opening (19) which extends continuously in the longitudinal direction of the body over the entire length of the body. The desiccant container (18) is easily deformed in its radial direction, the desiccant (12) can be easily inserted into the container (18) and the container (18) can be easily inserted into the header pipe (3). <IMAGE>
