Funnel The invention relates to a funnel in which a float
when a certain liquid level is reached in the vessel to be filled a
Hold-open device triggers a valve so that the latter closes automatically.
verfehlt. In a known funnel of this type that is on the funnel with a
Hinge rotatably attached valve opened to the side by means of a linkage.
In this position the valve is activated by the float provided with a hook
held. With this device there is a risk that the leakage
to the side of the liquid emerging from the funnel
the centrifugal valve on a quick, timely closing of the funnel
is prevented. The liquid overflows, which makes the funnel its purpose
missed.
This drawback is eliminated according to the invention in that on
the valve rod is articulated with a lever, the hook-like lever of which is provided at the free end
Groove one made in the float rod provided with a longitudinal slot
Bridge includes, and that when lifting the float rod by the rising liquid
the bar is lifted out of the groove, whereby the lever loses its support point,
which in turn causes the valve to fall.
i, welche einen Längsschlitz h aufweist, angebracht.
die Schwimmerstange i führt.
The subject of the invention is shown on the drawing in an exemplary embodiment, namely: Fig. I a longitudinal section through the new funnel placed on a bottle with the valve open, Fig. A a longitudinal section through the same funnel - with the valve closed and Fig. 3 a Diagrammatic view of the release device in an enlarged representation. The funnel a is set on a bottle b. In the funnel a, a valve c with a valve rod d is arranged near the outflow opening. cl is the valve seat. A lever, e, is hinged to the valve rod d. The free end of the lever e is provided with a hook-like groove f which is supported against a web g. The web g is attached to the float rod i, which has a longitudinal slot h. The float is marked with an h. Two webs L and m serve as guides for the valve rod d. Another web can also be arranged, which guides the float rod i. A plate (not shown) is attached above the float k, which prevents the liquid flowing out of the funnel from flowing onto the float h and pressing it down. In order to open the valve c, a chain or the like can be attached to it.
The mode of operation of the subject matter of the invention is as follows: If the liquid rises in the container b, it raises the float h. This also raises the float rod i, so that the web g of the same is lifted out of the groove f of the lever e. Since the lever e is hinged to the valve rod d, it previously supported the valve c by means of the groove f and the web g, the valve rod d being pressed against the walls of the guide holes of the valve rod in the webs L and m and held there by friction -became. The valve c was thus held up above its seat c1. After lifting the support of the valve, with the bar g unhooked from the groove f, the valve falls. c by its own weight and by the pressure of the liquid column in the funnel a on the valve seat cl., the lever e slides through the slot lt of the float rod i and lies on the web m. When the funnel a is removed from the bottle b, the valve is pulled back into the open position by pulling on the chain attached to the valve, the lever e sliding away under the web g until the web g lies in the groove t.
