Abstract

The cap is fitted to an opening on a container, which is especially on the discharge nozzle of a tank which contains a liquid. The opening and a shoulder ring (3) which encloses its edge region, are covered by a lid (1). The ring has a retaining element (6) which prevents the lid from being removed again, and the latter is joined to the ring by one or more connection points (4) which form a seal, and which can be separated easily. At the same time, the lid is connected permanently to a hinge component (5) on the ring, and has a sealing part (13) which can engage with the opening.
