Abstract

The tank (1) is adjustable against an ink roller (2), and has a base (3) with an upper surface which faces the ink. The base is extruded from aluminium in one piece, and its upper side is very smooth. The interior of the base may have tempering mechanisms (7,8) which ensure that the ink is kept at the right temp., and this may take the form of interconnected channels which are parallel to the roller, and which are arranged one under the other. A heating medium may be fed through the channels, and the channel which is nearest to the roller may also be on the outward flow path of the heating circuit.
