Abstract

For flushing molten metal with gas, a coupling device for attachment to a metallurgical vessel to one or several gas lines (12) comprises a first part (10) coupling to a gas supply (10) and a second part (16) coupling to a casting ladle (16). The first coupling part has a sealing plate (40) with at least one tapered gas outlet (46) which can be sealed by a tapered closure element (48), which is axially displaceable in the first coupling part. In the closed position, it projects from the gas outlet so that it is pressed inwards into the first coupling part when coupled by the second coupling part. The second coupling part comprises a sealing plate (24) contg. at least one gas inlet (26).
