Description
Rotatable filter drum for gaseous substances with lying on the circumference Filter elements of rectangular cross-section The known types of filter drums consist in structure either of a firmly joined, multiple subdivision ring-shaped housing, the departments of which are the filter bodies (baffles, sleeves, Balls or the like), or from a firmly joined ring-shaped frame, in which the filter elements are inserted. These remarks are in part of a very complicated type and also require a considerable amount of material, so that the manufacture of such filter drums is very expensive.
Abb. The a; Rotatable filter drum shown in the accompanying drawing for gaseous substances avoids the above-mentioned disadvantages in their arrangement. Fig. I, 2 and 3 show the structure of the filter drum. The arrangement of the filter elements 1 in the drum requires that the filter plates 2 for gas passage laterally be kept closed. Accordingly, the filter sheets 2 are equal by two on the long sides bent sheets 3, which by two or more transverse strips 4 are connected. The transverse strips 4 are punched through in a simple manner Slots: 5 inserted and at the ends by pressing in edges or bending fastened in the sheets 3. The filter elements forming the shell of the drum I have a drum shield 6 and a drum ring 7 on the head sides Angle rings 8 and 9, which are connected by wedged tensioning and holding rods Io are held. The wedged T-shaped tensioning and holding rods 10 hold at the same time the filter elements 1 individually immovable, so that the filter elements 1 reversed can be removed individually for replacement. The aforementioned arrangement results in an extremely simple and also solid structure of the drum. The structure of the Drum shows that the filter elements are a substantial part of the shape of the drum represent, so that with a small amount of material an extremely cheap, but also just as practical drum shape is found.
The mode of operation and further structural design of the filter drum, However, which are not the subject of the invention, for example from the enclosed Drawings (Fig. 4 to 7) can be seen and explained in more detail below.
The drum is shield in this embodiment on the drum 6 centrally rotatably mounted by means of pin II and runs on the side of the drum ring two rollers 12 and I3, one of the rollers being used to turn the drum according to Fig. 4 and 5 from the bucket wheel shaft 14 and according to Fig. 6 and 7 directly by crank 15 powered. The version shown in Fig. 4 and 5 is used for cleaning and wetting of the filter departments I provided an oil flushing device. The procedure is as follows: The gas to be purified is passed through Direction of arrow r6 the filter compartments I, whereby the dust carried along with the oil-wetted The baffles stick. These so dusty filter elements I are now for the purpose Cleaning and wetting by rotating the drum continuously or by department Point 17 is rinsed with oil when turning the crank 18 through the Bucket wheel 19 from the oil container 20 promotes the oil into the inlet and distribution channel 21, from where the oil flushes the filter elements 1 through. Through the axis 14 of the bucket wheel 19 is the drum drive shaft I2 by means of sprockets 22 and 23 by means of a chain rotated so that by rotating the scoop wheel 19, the drum is slowly rotated and the individual filter elements I pass through point 17 for the purpose of rinsing. That through the filter elements I running oil collects in the lower housing part 24 in order to get through Drain 25 to run back into the oil container 20. Which over time in the oil container 20 deposited dirt can be caused by scratches from the side of the container 20 or can be removed by removing the container and pouring it out. With large amounts of dust A large oil container can be used to separate the dirt from the oil a special oil purifier should be provided. In the case of the one shown in Figs. 6 and 7 Arrangement, the lower housing part 24 is filled with oil, so that the underlying Immerse filter elements I in oil. By turning the crank 15, the drum is rotated, and the filter elements 1 pass through the oil bath, whereby the same cleaned and are wetted. In order to achieve better cleaning in the present case, are The filter elements 1 are swiveled in oil by turning the crank 15 forwards and backwards, to then be turned on again. The dirt that settles out can also can be removed by scratching through the stem 26 or by draining the oil.
For the installation of the filter assembly, e.g. B. in a wall duct, can the casing 27 of the drum, insofar as it is not required for the oil holder is to fall away.
