Description
Orientation buses Orientation buses with rotatable and articulated Mirror as well as with a compass arranged on a rectangular plate and on the narrow sides arranged adjustable mirrors are known.
According to the invention, the two upwardly hinged support surfaces of the mirror with the compass supporting middle plate connected and adapted to their shape so that these three Parts in the stretched position form a ruler.
The straight and long ruler to be formed in this way offers for determining the direction to distant map points advantages. Furthermore remains with this device the mirror carrier of the field of view when aiming over the upper edge of the support surfaces free, which opposes the use of the device in the field known devices of this type improved. While at a well-known establishment one flap can be swiveled upwards and the other downwards, on the short middle part of the compass are articulated and both do not carry a mirror, according to the invention, both support surfaces Movable upwards and provided with mirrors. This, similar to another known device, which however requires three mirrors for this purpose, that when aiming the compass rose in the upright, not reversed image and is viewed simultaneously with the goal. The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely Fig. z a diagrammatic view of the unfolded Device, Fig. A is a front view of the device with mirrors set in the sighting position, Fig. 3 is a view of the compass seen from above, Fig. Q. a graphical one View of the device in the form of a box with flanges on the middle plate and on the support surfaces of the mirrors.
On the right-angled center plate a, the compass housing b is located close to a transverse side. The two mirrors c and d are arranged so that they can be folded down by means of joints e and f on the transverse sides of the central plate a. The mirror c is only about half the size of the mirror c.1, but the mirror surface extends to the outer transverse side of both. There is a visor incision g on the upper edge of the mirror d or its support surface. In the compass housing b, a light aluminum disc i is attached to the compass needle h, which is provided with the compass rose graduation at the top. The division of the compass rose shows the usual division into 36o 'running to the right. The zero point of the division lies g ° to the right of the north pole of the needle, because at present the western declination in Central Europe is approximately this amount. The pitch can also be adjustable so that it can be adjusted for a different declination. The two zero points o ° and 18o 'therefore always fall within the geographical meridian if the compass misalignment is correctly taken into account.
The compass housing ends in an extension approach k. A directional line 1 serving as a sighting mark runs over this approach and over the glass cover of the compass and lies in a vertical plane with the center of the pitch circle and the sighting incision g. From the approach k, an arrow line then runs in the direction of the appropriately red line 1 over the center plate a , approximately to the joint e. The pointer in and the line 1 can also be replaced by a fine thread. The arrow line nt., The line of sight and the numbers as well as the division of the compass rose can also be executed in a manner known per se in luminous colors.
Der Winkel zwischen der Zielrichtung und dem :Meridian beträgt nach dieser Abbildung 60'-.Figure 3 shows the mirror image of the partial circle in the small mirror, and at R the reading takes place. The angle between the target direction and the : According to this figure, the meridian is 60'-.
When aiming, the mirrors c and d are brought into position as they are is shown in Fig. 2. It can be on the mirrors or% v. Lock at the pivot points be arranged, by which the position of the mirror in certain important '\ angles is established, for example by springs or pawls, ratchet teeth and the like. The light one However, foldability must not be impaired by this locking arrangement.
With the setting according to Fig. 2, the mirror d forms an angle of approximately 5o 'with the horizontal and the mirror c an angle of 85'. After adjusting the mirror, the bussole is brought into these two angles at eye level, aiming through the incision g and at the same time looking over the arrow m to the image of the red line R in the mirror c. In this mirror c one sees the upright image of the compass rose in its natural position and above it the image of the attachment l? and the red line R, which extends vertically upwards to the edge of the mirror c. The incision g and the image of the red line R define a clear line of sight which can be directed towards any point on the terrain.
