Abstract

The motor has a permanent magnet rotor with two opposing poles (N,S) and an auxiliary conductive rotor part (H), providing eddy currents for damping the network harmonics caused by the rotor pendulation. Pref. the conductive rotor part is provided as a sleeve concentrically enclosing the permanent magnet rotor, or a number of concentric sleeves, made of a ferromagnetic, paramagnetic, or diamagnetic material.
