Abstract

Described is a modular-design heat exchanger with at least one heat-exchange plane, each plane having a module-holder (10, 20, 30, 40, 60) which holds a multiplicity of removeable heat-exchange modules (1, 50). Each individual heat-exchange module (1, 50) has a boundary wall (2, 52) through which the heat passes from the heat-input side of the heat exchanger to the heat-output side. Located on at least one side of the boundary wall (2, 52) is porous, permeable sintered-metal material (4, 6, 54, 56). The module holder (10, 20, 30, 40, 60), together with most of the modules (1, 50), form a heat-flow channel for the heat-input and/or the heat-output side of the heat exchanger.
