Abstract

During the manufacture of a cover for a cushion, one web part of a quilted web is sewn in each case to one sheet of the cover, the two cover sheets are sewn together around the peripheral edge with insertion of an openable closure, the free ends of the web parts, which are in pairs in each case, are sewn together, whereupon the finished sewn cover is turned into the position of use. A cover is obtained for a cushion having a top sheet and a bottom sheet which are connected to one another around the peripheral edge and by means of at least one quilted web, and which has an openable closure, each quilted web consisting of two web parts, each of which is connected to only one sheet of the cover. The two web parts are connected to each other in such a way that the seams of the two interconnected web parts are directed into the interior of the cover when the latter is turned to be appropriate for use.
