Description
Device for regulating the air supply to the individual nozzles from Underfeed firing systems The invention relates to a control device the air supply to the individual nozzles of an underfeed firing system.
It is of great importance in mechanical furnaces, especially in those of large ones Length, often difficult, an equally high fuel layer everywhere in the long run to achieve; the fuel layer tends to end the firing to get thinner. In order to be able to take this into account and with regard to that the fuel varies in size in the various stages of combustion Amount of air is required if the greatest efficiency is to be achieved at all times It is important to regulate the air supply to the various parts of the grate can.
According to the invention are therefore on the rear ends of each Nozzle plate inserts for the purpose of regulating the free air inlet cross-section between two superimposed - nozzle plates attached. The stakes enable in a simple way, the air supply to the individual nozzles precisely and adjustable to regulate. The inserts are easily interchangeable and can be used at any time renewed or retrofitted to existing rows of nozzles.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a section of a row of nozzles four single nozzles placed one on top of the other in a vertical direction from the side seen, three of which according to the invention with an air control device their air inlet are provided, Fig. 2 is a rear view of Fig. i, Fig. 3 is a appropriately designed control strips to be pushed onto the rear end of the nozzle, Fig. Q. the view of a nozzle plate with an attached control strip.
Die Fig. i zeigt Einzeldüsen i mit flachen flanschartigen rückwärtigen Verlängerungen 2. The nozzles shown in Fig. I are block-shaped and have the usual dimensions. During operation, the nozzles are supplied with air from below, which flows into the open rear of the row of nozzles. The air flows from an enclosed space, the wind box of the furnace, into the nozzles. FIG. I shows individual nozzles i with flat, flange-like rear extensions 2. The air flows between these extensions 2 to the individual nozzles. On the rear end of each 'extension z of the three lower nozzles, an insert 3 is placed, which regulates the amount of air flowing to the next higher nozzle. This insert, shown on an enlarged scale in FIG. 3, is a metal strip which is bent into a clamp and provided with a series of upwardly projecting, readable tongues 5, the tongues forming a flange 4 standing close to one another. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, these tongues 5 protrude from the top of one of the rear extensions .2 to the bottom of the next one above and thus throttle the air inlet to the individual nozzles. If, as shown in FIG. 3, all tongues 5 are upright, then the throttling is greatest, while it can be adapted to the respective air requirement by bending down some or all of the tongues 5 at each individual nozzle. According to FIG. 2, more tongues 5 are bent downward in the lower nozzles than in the upper nozzles, and so more air can flow into the lower nozzles. The smaller and more numerous the tongues 5, the finer the control that can be carried out with them . In the bent state, the tongues lie on the rear extension of the associated nozzle plate, as can be seen in FIG. Flexible metal is best for making these control strips because its own spring action enables the control strips to be clamped directly onto the nozzle ends. and at the same time a slight bending of the tongues 5 allows. Since a certain minimum amount of air is always necessary in normal operation, it is advisable to choose the length of the control strips slightly shorter than the width of the nozzles on which they are to be placed.
