Device for pressing nails into hard materials Devices
For pressing nails into materials with the jaws that receive the nail
have two holes corresponding to the nail shaft and nail head diameter,
are known.
The invention consists in that the jaws or pliers in per se
known way are performed in jaw holders and also under the action
known clamping lever and that a guide piece to control the clamping lever
is arranged, which is provided with recesses. With a pressing device designed in this way
nails can without becoming crooked through: metal plates, such as those used in clichés
Find use, be pressed in without the same are prepunched.

Invention illustrated, namely Fig. R show the crimping device partially
in front view and partially in section, Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section along the line

In Fig. 1 (jaw shape) the jaws c, which are guided in jaw holders d, are pressed together by the two clamping levers a, which can be rotated about bearing bolts b. The levers ra are controlled by the guide slide 1a to which the push-in ram e is attached. In this embodiment, the l '"position feed is expediently from above through the nail feed channel k (Fig. 2). The nail sits in the funnel n of the jaws c. When the machine is in its basic position, the push-in bolt e with the guide h is in the top position The sliding surface of the two clamping levers a therefore sits on the shoulder below the notches o on the guide piece. In this position, the levers are pushed outwards at the top so that the jaws are pressed against each other c, in such a way that the indentation point of the workpiece is about r mm below the jaws, which can be achieved by an adjustable, known table on the machine pressed down in a known manner.
When the guide 1a, with which the push-in ram e and the push-in pin f is connected, the sliding point of the lever j jumps down into the notches o in the guide piece h. At this moment the jaws c diverge by about half of the hole, as a result of which the inserted nail, which was previously in the chamber ia, falls through the opened jaws or pliers and onto the workpiece. The hole n corresponds to the nail head diameter, the hole in the nail shaft diameter. When the plunger moves further down through the guide slide h and the slide roller i, the lever sliding points are then pushed apart after leaving the notches o and thereby the jaws c clamped together, whereby the nail is gripped on the shaft. Shortly after the nail has been grasped, the push-in pin f has reached the nail and pushes it in securely and stably through the clamped jaws in an exactly vertical direction. About z mm before the nail head reaches the small hole in, the clamping levers a at the sliding points jump into the notches p of the guide piece h, whereby the jaws open so far that the nail head and the insertion pin f can through the small hole in, to fully press the nail into the workpiece. Once this has happened, the plunger e is moved back, which is done by a spring g which has previously been brought into the pressure position. With o1 a circularly tensioned flat spring is referred to, which presses the jaws apart when the nail passes through.
Bei der Zangenform (Abb. 4A und B) ist der Arbeitsgang der gleiche;
x (Abb.4B) entspricht der Nagellänge plus a mm.
ml eingleiten muß.In the case of the pliers shape (Fig. 4A and B), the operation is the same;
it differs only in that the nails are inserted here from the side
can, and automatically. The pliers shape is built so that the jaws c and levers
a according to fig. z (jaw holders are omitted here) from one. Pieces are. the
In this embodiment, nails are more expediently inserted from the side through the channel p1
fed. For the introduction of the nail is on the forceps on the nail feeder
an incision is made on the facing side with the pliers in the closed position,
which in the depth z (Fig. 4B) corresponds to one half of the nail shaft plus 0.1 mm per pair of pliers.
When the pliers are closed, the incision is equal to the nail shaft plus o, a mm. The incision length
x (Fig.4B) corresponds to the nail length plus a mm. The forceps incision runs after
at the bottom inside downwards, so that the nail is always completely in the funnel and hole
ml must enter.
