Die Herstellung genau übereinstimmender und genau rechtwinklig aufeinanderstehender Flächen durch Fräsen ist indessen schwierig. Demgegenüber besteht die Erfindung darin, daß die Welle auf ihrer ganzen Länge vierkantig ist und in zwei an beiden Enden der Hülse sitzenden Büchsen mit vierkantigen Löchern geführt ist. Eine solche gezogene Stange läßt sich über ihre ganze Länge hin vollkommen genau herstellen, ohne daß ein Nacharbeiten erforderlich ist. Die Erfindung unterscheidet sich daher von der bekannten Einrichtung durch wesentliche Verringerung der Herstellungskosten und dadurch, daß die zur Aufnahme des Typenzylinders und zur Lagerung der Welle dienenden Flächen mit vollkommener Sicherheit genau übereinstimmen. Dadurch, daß die Vierkantwelle an beiden Enden in zwei mit vierkantigen Löchern versehenen Büchsen geführt ist, ergibt sich die Möglichkeit, die Welle an zwei weit voneinander entfernten Punkten zu unterstützen, so daß die an sich durch die Anschlagbewegung stark beanspruchten Lagerstellen praktisch nicht abgenutzt werden.
