Beim Abdrücken stöfst der Drücker B mit einem Ansatz B¹ gegen die Trommel und schiebt so diese unter Spannung der Schraubenfeder H dicht gegen das hintere Laufende heran, wobei ein drehbar aufgehängter und sich gegen den Patronenboden stützender Riegel D nachfällt und dadurch die Patrone mit der Verlängerung P¹ in den Lauf hineinschiebt; hierbei trennt sich ein am Riegel D fester Ansatz D'² von der auf ihr ruhenden und in einem Ausschnitt F des Hahnes auf dessen Zapfen losen Klinke G, welche nach unten fällt und sich vor Z)² einstellt. Hiernach löst der Drücker den Hahn, der, mit einem Schlagstift durch ein Loch D¹ in D schlagend, zugleich den Riegel G gegen den Ansatz D² prefst. Wie Fig. 2 zeigt, hat die in den Lauf getriebene Kugel die Hülsen Verlängerung P¹ dicht gegen die Stofsfuge zwischen A und C angelegt, so dafs die Pulvergase hier keinen Ausweg finden können, während gleichzeitig der Druck von G gegen D'² das Zurücktreiben der Trommel durch den Rückstofs der Pulvergase verhindert. Der Hub der Klinke G ist so bemessen, dafs sie den Riegel D erst losläfst, wenn der Hahn vollständig zurückgesprungen ist, worauf dann die Feder H die Trommel und durch diese den Riegel D wieder zurück- und letzteren mit D² unter die Klinke G schiebt, während die Schlagfeder den Abzug D in die Lage Fig. 1 zurückdreht.
