Bei Turmkranen geschieht die Verbindung der einzelnen Teile eines Turmes bisher dadurch, daß an den Stoßenden der Turmteile Laschen angebracht und dieselben mit Bohrungen ausgerüstet sind, so daß nach Durchstecken von Schrauben durch Anziehen der Schraubenmuttern die Verbindung hergestellt wird. Diese Befestigungsweise hat aber den Nachteil, daß der Schraubenschaft bei einer Ausführungsart der Verbindung auf Abscherung, bei der anderen Verbindungsart auf Zug beansprucht ist. Beide Beanspruchungen sind ungünstig. In diesen Bohrungen tritt im Laufe der Zeit infolge der Beanspruchungen des Turmkranes durch das Anheben der Last und das Verschwenken des Kranes ein gewisses Spiel auf, was aber nicht dadurch beseitigt werden kann, daß die Bohrungen größer ausgeführt werden und stärkere Schrauben zur Verbindung der Turmteile genommen werden, denn die geforderte Auswechselbarkeit der einzelnen zum Teil noch nicht benutzten Turmteile erfordert gleich große Bohrungen und gleiche Schraubendurchmesser. Infolgedessen entstehen beim Anheben einer Last und beim Absetzen einer Last im Turmgerüst ruck- und stoßartige Wirkungen, welche die Lebensdauer des Turmkranes herabsetzen.
