Description

Unter diesem Schüttelsiebe bewegen sich zwei Bürstenwalzen _/, deren Lager in die Riemen g g eingeschaltet sind, so dafs sich die Wellen der Bürstenwalzen in ersteren frei drehen können. Diese Drehung wird dadurch bewirkt, dafs die Bürsten in die Maschen der Siebe eindringen und sich also bei ihrer langsamen Fortbewegung um ihre Achse drehen müssen. Durch dieses Eindringen der Bürsten in die Maschen, unterstützt durch die Hin- und Herbewegung des Siebes, ist das Verstopfen desselben ausgeschlossen. Das gute Getreide gelangt nun in den Schleuderkasten /z, welcher aus zwei Abtheilungen besteht, die oben und unten mit geschlitztem oder sonst geeignet perforirtem Stahlblech bezogen sind. Dieser Schleuderkasten erhält durch zwei Excenter i eine auf- und niedergehende, werfende Bewegung, welche durch an jeder Seite angebrachte Federn noch verstärkt wird. Das Getreide wird also bei der grofsen Arbeitsfläche des Schleuderkastens durch das Auf- und Abwerfen in seiner ganzen Oberfläche kräftig mit den rauhen Flächen in Berührung gebracht und dadurch eine scheuernde und abspitzende Wirkung erzielt. Da der ganze Schleuderkasten h in einem Räume hängt, der mit dem Ventilator c in Verbindung steht, werden die abgestofsenen Theile sofort entfernt. Aus dem Schleuderkasten h gelangt das Getreide zwischen die Bürstenwalze k und die Bürste k¹, wo es noch einmal gründlich von allen noch etwa anhaftenden Unreinigkeiten befreit wird. The grain reaches the machine in its entire width through the inlet a , whereby dust and lighter impurities are drawn off through the channel b, which opens into the middle of the fan c. The dust-free grain falls onto the vibrating sieve d, which is moved back and forth by the eccentric e. This vibrating sieve d is covered with wire mesh, and of such width that the smaller grains and other seeds fall through on the first two thirds of its length, while the last third only allows the good grain to pass through, and larger impurities leave the sieve at the end.
