Diese Wendeleisten in Form von Schnecken hatten den Nachteil, daß sie den Abzug der Trockenluft und des sich bildenden Brüdens mehr oder weniger verhinderte. Es ist weiter versucht worden, diesen übelstand dadurch zu beheben, daß man am Umfange der Schnecke Aussparungen vorsah.
