Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Einrichtung an Deckeln von Akkumulatorengehäusen zur Erzielung einer guten Abdichtung bei in das Gehäuse eingesetztem Deckel. Man hat bereits Deckel von Akkumulatorengehäusen am äußeren Rande des in das ■ Gehäuse einzusetzenden Deckelteiles mit einer Rille versehen und in diese Rille eine Dichtungsschnur aus Weichgummi oder ähnlichem Stoff eingelegt. Bei diesen Ausführungen ist der äußere Durchmesser der Dichtungsschnur größer als der lichte Durchmesser des Gehäuses, so daß beim Einsetzen die Dichtungsschnur zusammengedrückt wird, wodurch ein guter Abschluß erzielt wird. Dabei bestehen jedoch die Nachteile, daß beim Einsetzen des Deckels die Schnur ringsum eingedrückt werden muß, da sie sonst nicht in die Gefäßöffnung hineinpaßt, und ferner, daß die zwisehen Deckel und Gefäßwand eingequetschte Gummischnur das Bestreben hat, den Deckel aus dem Gefäß herauszudrücken.The invention relates to a device on covers of battery housings to achieve a good seal when the cover is inserted into the housing.
