Description

Verfahren zur Herstellung von Dichloräthylen aus Tetrachloräthan Gegenstand des Patents 566 034 ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Dichloräthylen aus Tetrachloräthan. Das Verfahren beruht auf der Umsetzung von Tetrachloräthan mit Acetylen, die bei Gegenwart geeigneter Katalysatoren, insbesondere Hydrierungskatalysatoren, vorgenommen wird. Die anzuwendenden Temperaturen liegen je nach der Art des verwendeten Katalysators von Zoo- an aufwärts, bei der im Hauptpatent beschriebenen Anordnung z. B. bei 35o". Es hat sich nun gezeigt, daß manche sehr brauchbar erscheinende Katalysatoren in ihrer Wirksamkeit nachließen, so daß ihre Erneuerung notwendig wurde. Bei der Erforschung der Ursachen für das Absinken der Wirksamkeit wurde festgestellt, daß es Schritt hielt mit der Abnahme der Feuchtigkeit der aktiven Kohle. Weitere Versuche wurden daher mit feuchtem Acetylen vorgenommen und führten schließlich zu der Erkenntnis, daß es vorteilhaft ist, einen bestimmten Feuchtigkeitsgehalt aufrechtzuerhalten, z. B. sank bei der Verwendung einer mit Kupferchlorid getränkten Kohle als Katalysator die Ausbeute innerhalb 1o Stunden von 75 % auf 3o%. Kam dagegen das Acetylen in feuchtem Zustand zur Anwendung, so änderten sich die Ausbeuten auch während 35 bis 4o Stunden nicht.
