Description

Bei der Herstellung billiger Stahlrohrmöbel werden häufig Holzplatten, so z. B. als Stuhlsitze, verwendet, die aus Preisrücksichten nicht aus kreuzweise verleimten Furnieren hergestellt werden können. Dem sogenannten Arbeiten dieser nicht abgesperrten Holzplatten muß man bei der Befestigung auf den Stahlrohren Rechnung tragen. Dies geschah in der Weise, daß man in die Holzplat- «o ten ζ. B. zwei schwalbenschwanzförmige Nuten senkrecht zur Faserrichtung einfräste, ■die Stahlrohre entsprechend formte, in diese Nuten einschob und mit der Holzplatte verschraubte. Hierbei wurden die Nuten länger ausgeführt, als die Länge der eingeschobenen Stahlrohre beträgt, um dem Holz die Möglichkeit der Bewegung zu geben und hierdurch die Bildung von Trockenrissen zu vermeiden. Die Rohre c, auf denen die mit quer zur Faserrichtung des Holzes verlaufenden Nuten b versehene Holzplatte α befestigt werden soll, sind der Nut entsprechend geformt und erhalten Längsschlitze f. In die Rohre c werden die Keile d (Abb. 3) so eingetrieben, daß sie über die Stahlrohre hervorstehen, die verlängerten Nuten aber voll ausfüllen. Die Wirkungsweise ist nun derartig, daß beim Zusammentrocknen des Holzbrettes, also bei dem sogenannten Schwinden, der Keil d (Abb. 1) senkrecht zur Faser des Brettes in das bei g mit der Platte α verschraubte Stahlrohr c hineingetrieben wird.
