Die Theorie und die Erfahrung zeigen, daß bei Drehstromreihenschlußmotoren die induktiven Streuspannungen einen großen Einfluß auf die verschiedenen Betriebseigenschaften des Motors haben. Dieser Einfluß wirkt sich durchwegs verschlechternd aus. Einerseits wird das Anfahrmoment, der Leistungsfaktor und der Wirkungsgrad des Motors verschlechtert, anderseits wird die Labilität der unteren Motordrehzahlen erhöht. Die große Streuung des Motors, die hauptsächlich auf einen kleinen Kraftfluß pro Pol zurückzuführen ist, ist durch die Rücksichtnahme auf die Kommutierung bedingt. Die Kondensatoren sind derart bemessen, daß sie die induktiven Streuspannungen durch entsprechende Gegenspannungen ganz oder teiljveise aufheben. Der Anschluß der Kondensatoren an vorhandene oder zusätzliche Wicklungen des Zwischentransformators hat den Vorteil, daß man die Kondensatoren mit einer möglichst hohen Spannung speisen kann, so daß sie klein und billig ausfallen.
