They are stretching or delivery rollers for spinning, twisting and similar textile machines known, in which the barrel jacket is interchangeable and made of several rings of different Composition is composed. For example, there have already been stretching or delivery rollers with a fiber ring and a Leather coat made. With these rollers, the leather is elongated or bulges. The service life of such rollers is limited as a result, and the exact cylindrical surface is through the lengthening or stretching of the leather is destroyed. There are already stretching resp. Delivery rollers with a replaceable barrel jacket are known, which consists of an inner ring made of iron, an intermediate ring made of ebonite and an outer ring made of rubber. Such rollers, however, are inadequate because the rubber expands laterally and has overhanging sides forms.
In the case of the roller according to the invention, on the other hand, the exchangeable barrel jacket consists of a hard inner ring, e.g. B. made of fiber, ebonite or hard rubber, a soft intermediate ring made of rubber and an outer ring made of seamless leather, which are firmly connected to one another by vulcanizing. The leather one The rim thus has a flexible support, Ϋοη which she cannot solve. This results in an extraordinarily long period of use, at the same time as the extension and the stretching of the leather as a result of the vulcanization of the barrel jacket is avoided.
Before vulcanization, around the barrel jacket of the roller, i.e. H. so about the Leather ring, a metal ring placed that is cooled by another during operations Metal ring can be replaced so that the heat generated during vulcanization does not have a harmful effect can exercise the leather ring. The cooling ring, which is newly inserted as required, gives its lower one Temperature on the leather ring and the immediate vicinity. It takes according to the present Invention of the work process for the purpose of cooling so not to be interrupted. The mold for making the Stretching or delivery rollers according to the present invention can be continuous one behind the other can be used without having to take cooling breaks.
Fig. 2 und 3In the drawing, FIG. 1 is a section through a roller according to the invention, with each cover plate being removed. Figs. 2 and 3
Fig. 6 ist ein Schnitt nach der Linie VI-VI von Fig. 7 und zeigt eine Form für das Vulkanisieren, während Fig. 7 eine Vorderansicht zu Fig. 6 ist nach teilweiser Entfernung des Formunterteiles. show schematically how the leather ring is made. Fig. 4 is a front view and Fig. a side view of the roller. Fig. 6 is a section along the line VI-VI of Fig. 7 and FIG. 7 shows a mold for vulcanizing, while FIG. 7 is a front view of FIG after partial removal of the lower part of the mold.
The leather ring α is cut out in a circle from a flat piece (Fig. 2). Then, one turns this ring 90 0 inwardly so that the two lateral faces a 1 and α 2, the outer and inner surfaces of the leather jacket give α (Fig. 3). This therefore consists of one piece, without the ends of a leather strip having to be put together or connected. Since every stitching process is missing and therefore no sewing connection can rub off, the service life of the ring is increased. In addition, the production is cheaper. The leather ring α can be rubberized or soaked with a rubber solution and is pressed. Because of the latter measure, the use of cheap leather is possible, since the print gives a sufficiently smooth surface on the leather, as is necessary for good warping of the stretching lines and delivery of the textile threads. As a result, you do not need to use expensive types of leather and you save a lot.
The leather ring α is done in a form b (Fig. 6 and 7) together with an intermediate ring c made of soft rubber. Finally, a lining d made of ebonite or hard rubber is then inserted inside the soft rubber ring c. After the parts a, c and d have been treated with suitable solutions containing agents for accelerating vulcanization, the mold b is heated so that the parts are united by vulcanization. The form b contains circular coolants, for example an iron or steel ring e for the leather ring a, so that the latter is kept at a low temperature and is not adversely affected by the vulcanization heat.
The surface of the lower part of the mold / is recessed at f 1 and forms a die for receiving the cooling ring e and the parts a, c and d to be vulcanized. The die is closed by an intermediate part g and an insert h , the edge h 1 of which extends over part g . The latter and the insert h have depressions i on their lower surfaces and thus complete the die.
To connect the molded parts, short screws /, which hold the part g to the lower part /, and long screws j 1 , which extend from the lower part / through the part g and the edge h 1 of the insert h , are used. If you tighten the screws j and the nuts j 2 on the bolt j 1 , the material in the die is put under pressure. Of course, the required pressure can be generated in any known manner.
First one brings one or more steel cooling rings e into the mold, then the leather ring is inserted into these rings after it has been treated with a suitable solution for the purpose of good vulcanization. Uncured soft rubber c, for example in the form of a dough treated with a vulcanizing solution, is then placed against the inner surface of the ring α. Finally, the lining ring d is inserted into the mass c . The mold is then closed, heated and put under pressure in order to bring about the necessary action of the admixtures and the union of the parts by vulcanizing. The heat can be generated from above or below by any means, for example by steam or electrically heated plates. The heat can be introduced through the central hole h z of the insert h so that it enters radially. This treatment expediently lasts so long that the leather α is not overheated. In any case, the leather is kept at a low temperature by the surrounding ring e so that it is not damaged. A small excess of ebonite, hard rubber or leather d is expediently contained in the mold. The downward pressure on the mold at the same time results from using a pressure acting radial h forth to the material to the outside. In this way the plastic bodies are vulcanized and intimately united, so that perfect adhesion is guaranteed. After vulcanization under pressure has been completed, the mold is disassembled and the unified barrel jacket consisting of parts a, c and d is removed.
The barrel jacket is applied to the circumference of a support part or wheel k (FIG. 1), which is equipped with spokes k 1 and can be made of any building material, for example wood, metal or hard rubber. The one flange plate k 2 of the rim k 3 of the part k can be removable so that the barrel jacket can be easily attached and removed. If a barrel jacket a, c, d is worn, it only needs to be removed and a fresh one attached to the support part k . The barrel jacket can be attached to this in any way. For example, the plate k 2 and the barrel jacket can be held by screws I , the heads of which rest against fixed flanges fe 4 and pass through holes in the chuck d .
