Description
The invention relates to thread sewing machines with automatic knot formation, namely the well-known square knot, the production of which as a so-called safety knot on thread sewing machines, e.g. B. in the German patents qo 622 and 157 839 is described. It is formed in that a needle looper (looper needle) is guided one after the other through the individual loops of thread that are brought into the interior of the paper layer to be stapled, the first loop being formed as a double loop and the last loop, the end loop, at its loose end is briefly grasped by the needle gripper and pulled through the remaining stitching loops. After the loop is tightened, the reverse movement of the needle looper causes the short thread end to be pulled out of it and the knot to be drawn together.
This knot is not sufficient for stapling, which is made on congratulatory cards and the like. Because of the more pleasing appearance, the industrial line requires knotting, i.e. the end of the thread is knotted in again as a longer loop, which was previously not possible by machine. Such decorative end loops were previously made by hand knotting and were easy to pull open. The purpose of the invention is to make them mechanically on stapling machines as a safety loop and to make them difficult to open. The new method is that the loose end of the final thread of the end loop is grasped by the mouth of the looper needle in such a length and as a loop through the last; The stitching loop forming the square knot is pulled through so that it does not slip out when pulling through the knot loop, but rather gets stuck as a loop and slips out of the looper mouth during the opposite final movement of the hook needle after the square knot is closed. The latter takes place in that the loose loop thread of the safety loop is pushed in front of the hook point in the last part of the operation; the mouth of the gripper needle is for this purpose equipped with an inclined plane through which f the free thread part of the safety loop to slip out over the grippers erspitze is brought. A safety loop machine-made in this way also has the advantage that it cannot open when the ends are pulled, but creates an increasingly solid connection in contrast to the known square knot, which then opens at its ends with a certain pull . when the thrown-on noose is moved back.
In the drawing is an embodiment for the production of a such safety loop shown on thread sewing machines according to the invention, namely show Fig. I and 2 the arrangement of a known thread sewing machine to produce a square knot, Fig. 3 and 4 'the hook needle in its previous one Form, Fig.5 and 6 the knot loop in different positions before tightening to the knot, Fig.7 the finished knot with safety loop, Fig.8 and 9 the Shape of the mouth of the new looper needle, Fig. Io to i3b details of the thread looping and the process of slipping the safety loop out of the gripper.
The stitching thread i coming from the bobbin is passed through in a known manner the thread take-up 2 pulled out and one after the other in the up and down rising hook stitching needles 3, 4 5 laid. The loop of the first sewing needle 3 is pulled out longer, in known Way, first wound up twice, and then the lower end is turned over upwards (Fig. 2, right loop 7). The looper needle6 then moves from right to left through all stitching loops, grasps the loose lower end of the last (left) Loop and pull it through all the stitching loops as you go back. The length of the stitch or interlocking thread used to be due to the variable stroke of the Fadenholers 2 regulated so that that finally when tightening the loop to the knot The end hanging in the hook was pulled all the way through and consequently out of it the opposing gripper movement slipped out. Due to the resulting friction the knot tightened.
This known process is thereby used according to the present invention Manufacture of a decorative and security loop made usable that one adjusts the thread length so that the loose end of the last stitching loop is grasped through the mouth of the hook needle remains so long that the end is not pulled through completely becomes, so it gets stuck as a loop. The previously known grippers slip out the loop out of the mouth is not possible without the thread breaking. In Fig. 3 and 4 shows the previously known shape of the hook needle with a mouth; from it is to see that a nose x clamps the thread. and it in case of draft the loose end of the thread as a loop would be impossible to remove from the mouth. Only when one leads the loop parts or one of them in such a way that both are on the same The side of the looper needle, specifically lying on the open side, is the option given for slipping out of the safety loop. After the invention happens this is due to the special shape of the hook needle tip, which is used in the opposite direction Movement of the looper needle pushes the loose thread end forward, i.e. in front of the point. It is now also on the open gripper side, and the entire safety loop can slip out forward.
The process is as follows: After the gripper needle6 (Fig.5) has reached its right end position, the long thread end a is still in the knot loop b. In the opposite movement that now takes place (FIG. 6), the knot loop held by the known hook H (FIG. 5) is thrown around and then released. It: the safety loop is created when the cross knot is tightened (Fig. 7). The loop is slipped out of the mouth of the hook needle as shown in the enlarged FIGS. 10 to 13. According to the invention, the gripping needle (Fig. 8 and 9) is provided at its tip with an inclined surface c on which the loop slips, and the surfaces are also slightly inclined to make it easier for the thread to slip off when the hook moves to the left ( Fig. 9). After the gripping needle 6 has grasped the loose thread end of the last (left) stitching loop in such a length that when the hook needle is running in the opposite direction to the right, this locking thread, a has pulled through all the stitching loops as a loop, it remains in the last loop (right) hang (Fig. 5). The upper strand of the thread is taut because it is still in position, while the lower strand hangs freely and only gradually becomes taut when the thread loops are tightened. The piece x, y hanging in the mouth slips from the locking thread a (Fig. 10) due to the incline y, z (Fig. 10a) and pushes itself in front of the tip S of the looper needle (Fig. 1), so that it comes from their area. When the hook needle moves in the opposite direction, it is already in front of the point S, on the same side as the thread strand (Fig. 12) and finally pulls out completely under the spring pressure of the closing jaw (Fig. 12 to i3).
From Fig. 7 it can be seen that such a loop is not again on, but must always pull tighter when pulling on the thread ends.
