Control arrangement for steam turbines When designing control valves
for high pressures it is important to note that the necessary for adjusting the valve cone
Forces can be quite substantial. Used to adjust the control valves
Power pistons, they must be dimensioned accordingly large. Object of the invention
is to use the pressure of the agent to be controlled largely to apply the necessary
Use adjustment forces. This object is achieved according to the invention by
that a relieving device that is inevitably controlled as a function of the regulator movement
is arranged through which the high pressure space above the control valve cone
can be connected to a room of lower pressure. It is known per se
the rooms above and below by manually adjustable bypass valves
to connect the main inlet valve with each other and thereby also a relief
of the valve cone. However, these arrangements are
Facilities that are only put into operation at start-up, while at
present invention, the relief device with each adjustment of the main control valve
is controlled. The control of the relief device takes place in such a way that at
the opening movement of the control valve reduces the pressure on it,
on the other hand, it is enlarged during a closing movement. This inventive idea can
z. B. be carried out so that the relief device via an auxiliary oil control
adjusted, in such a way that with a downward movement of the control valve when
If the pressure to be regulated increases, the relief device continues to be closed
and thereby the loading pressure is increased. With an opening movement of the
Control valve, the process is reversed. In such a control device
the areas acting in the opening direction and in the closing direction are dimensioned
of the control valve so that the pressure to be regulated at the end of the relief device
presses the cone of the control valve onto its seat.
The mode of operation of the device is explained in the illustration. The cone a of the control valve is inserted with a cylindrical guide with little play in the housing r, in such a way that the diameter in the guide is larger than the valve diameter. The steam to be controlled flows through line 3 to and through pipe q. to the turbine. The pressure p4 is lower than the pressure p3. Above the valve cone a, the pressure p i is initially established in space 5. The arrangement can also be made so that a throttle line leads from the pipe p3 to the space 5 above the valve cone a (shown in dashed lines in the figure). From space 5 a line 2 1 leads to the compensating device 7 and from diesei a line 23 to the pipe socket 4 .. The areas f;, f4, f , are dimensioned so that the pressure in space 5 closes the valve when the relief device is closed. The relief device can initially be used as a device for opening the main valve. It does this in the following way. Before the turbine is started up, valve 7 is closed. Room 5 is connected to 3. The main valve is closed. If the relief device 7 is opened (e.g. when starting the machine by hand), steam will flow in from room 3 via 5 and valve 7 in .I. Since both the gap between valve cone 2 and housing i and the valve? act as throttling points, a pressure will set in space 5 which is dependent on the size of the two throttle cross-sections. The first cross-section (gap between cone and housing) between space 3 and 5 is fixed when you assemble it. The size of the second can be influenced from the outside by adjusting the valve 7. The main valve is now opened by letting the oil pressure act on the lower surface of the power piston 12 and then slowly opening the valve 7 until the cone 2 is raised and has reached the desired position.
Ventil soll geöffnet werden, der Kolben 9 stehe zunächst in seiner Mittelstellung;
The arrangement can, as the figure shows, favorably in one
use automatic control device. The valve cone 2 is through a
oil control piston 12, which moves in a cylinder 8, adjusted. The adjustment, movement
is initiated by the governor io and the control piston 9, through the
Pressure oil can be passed over or under the piston 12. Assume that
The valve is to be opened, the piston 9 is initially in its central position;
when the valve? is closed, the cone 2 is not relieved. Then go to
the regulating movement of the control piston g downwards and thereby leaves under pressure oil
the piston 12 step, so that a force action in the opening direction of the valve
2 is caused. At the same time, pressure oil is passed through line 2o via the second
Control piston 14 passed, which slides in a cylinder 13 and thereby the control piston
15 moved downwards. Pressure oil then passes through line 25 under the adjusting piston
18 of the valve 7 moving in the cylinder 17 and opens the valve 7 somewhat.
The space 5 is relieved, and the piston 12 can be replaced by the control 9
influenced Ölzuflüß are adjusted until the feedback sleeve i i the control process
concludes.
The arrangement shown is effective once the valve position has been set
automatically to the effect that the valve 2 stops in the set position, and
for the following reasons: It is assumed that the pressure p4 increases. Consequently
the valve 2 will tend to move upwards. The piston 12 would
thereby pressurized oil through line i9 onto the lower surface of piston i-. to press
and move it upwards. With a small upward movement of the piston 14
but pressurized oil is directed through line 24 onto the * top surface of piston 18
and thereby the valve 7 is closed. This increases the pressure in room 5,
whereby the valve: 2 is pushed back into its previously set position.
The arrangement therefore strives to return to its equilibrium position itself.
