Mit der vorliegenden Kartoffelaushebemaschine sollen die Kartoffeln so aus dem Boden gehoben werden, dafs sie frei liegen und nur aufgelesen zu werden brauchen.With the present potato lifting machine, the potatoes are supposed to be lifted out of the ground that they are exposed and only need to be picked up.

Die Maschine ruht auf zwei Fahrrädern A, welche auf einer Achse B fest aufsitzen und einen eisernen Rahmen C tragen. An dem einen Fahrrad befindet sich das grofse Zahnrad jD, welches das Zahnrad E in Bewegung setzt; das Rad E greift in das Rad F ein und betreibt durch dasselbe die Flügelwelle H. Diese trägt in fünf Reihen je sechs Zinken, die in gleichen Abständen vertheilt und an ihren Enden etwas schaufeiförmig ausgeschmiedet sind. Zwei gebogene Messer G und G¹ sind dazu bestimmt, die Furche zu lockern. Der eiserne Rahmen C ruht vorn auf einem zweirädrigen, kräftigen Gestell, durch welches der Maschine eine sichere und ruhige Lage bei der Arbeit gegeben, auch der Tiefgang derselben durch Hoch- und Niedrigstellen des Querbalkens regulirt und das Umdrehen leicht bewerkstelligt werden soll.The machine rests on two bicycles A, which sit firmly on an axis B and carry an iron frame C.
