"Z-Dihy dro-i # 2 # 2' # i'-anthrachinonazin beschrieben, gemäß welchem N -Dihvdro-1
# 2 # 2'- i'-anthrachinonazin direkt oder in :Mischung mit indifferenten organischen
Lösungsmitteln mit Sulfurvlchlorid behandelt wird.Process for the preparation of blue vat dyes of the anthraquinone azine series Patent specification 1 57 449 describes a process for the preparation of chlorinated "Z-Dihy dro-i # 2 # 2 '# i'-anthraquinone azine, according to which N -Dihvdro-1 # 2 # 2'- i'-anthraquinonazine directly or in: a mixture with inert organic solvents is treated with sulfur chloride.
While in patents r38167 and 396111 the bromination or
the bromination and subsequent chlorination of X-dihydro-i # 2 # 2'-i'-anthraquinonazine
is described in sulfuric acid solution is about the treatment of the dye
nothing known in sulfuric acid solution with sulfuryl chloride.
Man arbeitet hierbei -zweckmäßig in Gegenwart
von Katalvsatoren, wie salpetriger Säure oder Jod.The technically important observation has now been made that one X-Dihv
dro-1 # 2 # 2 '# i'-anthraquinonazine also in sulfuric acid solution with the help of
Sulfur chloride can chlorinate. This is important because sulfuryl chloride is easier to use
can be dosed as chlorine, and because it is technical because of its lower volatility
is easier to use. You can work in anhydrous sulfuric acid, however
it is more advantageous to use one with a moderate water content, namely an approx.
Up to 96 ° 1 ″ sulfuric acid should be used. It is advisable to work in the presence of this
of catalysts such as nitrous acid or iodine.
Beispiel z 25 Teile technisch reines N-Dihydro-1
# 2 # 2' # i'-anthrachinonazin werden in 25o Teilen Schwefelsäure von 66° Be gelöst.
Man
Eingießen in Wasser ausfällen. Beispiel e Man löst 5o Teile technisch reines \-Dihvdro-i
- 2 - 2' # i'-anthrachinonazin in 50o Teilen Schwefelsäure von 66° Be und läßt sodann
des N-Dihydro-i - 2 # 2' - i'-anthrachinonazins mindestens erreicht:Depending on the conditions of temperature. Amount of sulfuryl chloride, reaction time, addition of catalysts, etc., a mono- or dichloro derivative can be obtained. The dyes are obtained in a particularly pure form if their representation is used for cleaning, e.g. B. by fractional precipitation from the sulfuric acid solution or by post-treatment with manganese dioxide and similar oxidizing agents according to Patent 498: 292, connects. Example z 25 parts of technically pure N-dihydro-1 # 2 # 2 '# i'-anthraquinonazine are dissolved in 250 parts of sulfuric acid at 66 ° Be. Then 6 parts of water and then q. Parts of a nitrous oxide, which contains 63 parts by weight of nitrous acid in 400 parts by weight, run in slowly, then allows 11.3 parts of sulfuryl chloride in about 1 /. Add dropwise to 1 hour and heat to 4o to 5o °. The mixture is stirred for about 5 hours at the same temperature, then poured into water and worked up in the usual way. This gives a monochloro derivative with which virtually matches the dye obtainable according to the patent i55 41 5 in its properties. The product obtained in this way is greenish blue, ie partly in the form of the azine or azine of the dye. However, if you want to get the dye in the form of the blue Dihvdroazin, you can do it in the sulfuric acid solution, z. B. by adding the required amount of crude carbolic acid, reduce and only then precipitate by pouring into water. Example e Dissolve 50 parts of technically pure dihvdro-2-2 '# i'-anthraquinone azine in 50 ° parts of sulfuric acid at 66 ° Be and then slowly run in 12 parts of water and 8 parts of the nitrous used in Example 1. 100 parts of sulfuryl chloride are then slowly added dropwise at about 30 ° and the mixture is then heated to 50 to 55 °. The mixture is stirred at 55 to 60 ° for about 24 hours. After this time, the chlorination has progressed to about a dichloro derivative. For work-up with simultaneous further purification you can, for. B. proceed as follows: A suspension of 10 parts of finely ground, natural manganese dioxide in 50 parts of sulfuric acid of 66 ° Be is allowed to run in and the mixture is stirred for 5 hours at 50 to 55 °. In order to dissolve the dye, some of which has separated out in the form of the azine, as much as possible, 500 parts of 23 ° oleum are then added. The mixture is then cooled to about 35 ° and so much crude carbolic acid is slowly added dropwise until a sample taken gives a pure blue precipitate when it is poured into water. Finally, the sulfuric acid solution is poured into lukewarm water, filtered off and worked up in the usual way. The product obtained dyes cotton from the vat in blue tones with a chlorine fastness which at least reaches that of all known halogen derivatives of N-dihydro-i - 2 # 2 '- i'-anthraquinonazine:
